Housing benefit is paid to employed people too, and their number is growing.
yip sorry it is. vast majority on benefit though.
people seem to think their benefit is £71 a week etc and thats not true as most will have their full rent and council tax paid as well.
there was a single mother of 3 in the paper today saying she cant feed her kids. im amazed by that as she will get £55 per week per child - child tax credit and child benefit on top of that. so how on earth she cant feed them off that is beyond me.0 -

i have never come acroos a social landlord that supplies carpets and whiye goods. in fact, if a previous tenant leave carpets/fitted wardrobes/additional kitchen cupboards, they are usually removed before a new tenant takes posession. so unless you can back up your claims, then i find it almost impossible to believe0

i'd never heard of that ... and apparantly it can be covered by housing benefit too!
net the bashers will love that even more! giving people free beds, washers and ovens!/B]0 -

Many local authorities provide this service, and the extra added to the rent is Housing Benefit eligible.0 -
