your body reacts to chemicals on a individual basis. It does not care where it came from or how its made.
Chemicals are chemicals. Take pure Nacl for example. Your body does not care if its made in a lab or taken from seawater and reduced down to pure salt.
Its the same substance.
Nature is full of natural toxins. That if man makes the same toxin will be equally as toxic.0 -
I only drink water, used to drink fizzy drinks, but once you get used to water, there is really no going back to yellow teeth stains, extorniate prices (doesn't a can of coke cost less than 1p to make?) and just craving them all the time. The chemicals in them make them addictiveThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Crank sites are not reliable evidence. Anybody can post anything on the Internet. As these forums frequently demonstrate.0 -

it will cost more than 1p to make in 2013.
especially when you include packaging, labour and distribution costs.
Coke does spend a lot on marketing but other brands are available.
Saying that its not cheap and own brand value lines are much cheaper.0 -
I only buy on offer now. Just thinking about paying nearly £2 for a bottle is absurd. Fizzy Water and robinsons is the way to go.0

Here's a shock! The food industry have been funding studies to make governments and the public think that soft drinks are healthier than they really are.
I notice there was a study last month stating that drinking one sugary soft drink per day will increase your chance of developing diabetes by up to a fifth. I wonder if that study was funded by the food industry?

I was addicted to Diet Pepsi and when I gave it up March 2012 I had horrible headaches.0
