Had two items I put in Goofbids for. Didn't immediately notice I hadn't received an email confirmation from Goofbid. I don't always get them until a few hours later.
Last night's snipe didn't go through at all. Annoying, as I would have won the item. Luckily this morning I happened to be available to bid as I won the second item.
Anyone else had problems recently?
I like Goofbid when it works, but now I realise I can't rely on it.

Ive heard a few grumblings over the past week about bids failing on goofbid. Not sure what the problem is, but guess something with the servers.
Ive bben using gixen for the past 2/3 years and never yet had a bid fail.0

Never used Goofbid but if other bidders also use Goofbid for the same item then one or more must loose out. I'm asking a question here as I've also thought about using Goofbid but have yet to give it a try.0

If im reading your question correctly, then if multiple buyers all use goofbid to place a bid on the same item, then all bids will be placed but obviously the highest bid will win.Never used Goofbid but if other bidders also use Goofbid for the same item then one or more must loose out. I'm asking a question here as I've also thought about using Goofbid but have yet to give it a try.
Ive been using a sniper for years and never had a problem.0

I used to use it, but it failed me a couple of times. I use Gixen now and have never had any problems.0

It failed me a couple of times a few years ago and I stopped using it. However, started using it agin about 6 months ago and it has not let me down.
Saying that, there was an item that I really wanted last night - so I set up the snipe on Goofbid - but still ended up bidding manually as I still don't trust it 100% and would have been gutted if it had failed last night.0

never had an issue with gixen either0

Goofbid failed me this evening - first time it's failed me but have lost trust now:(. I will try Gixen - thanks for the suggestion.0

First ever failure with my Goofbid account yesterday - really annoying. My snipe was all set up, but failed to activate and bid, so I lost the item - it for significantly less than my snipe.
Same thing happened to my partner tonight - he has a different Goofbid account, so it's obviously a general problem. Was especially annoying, and he was home and could have bidded live on that occasion. Item only sold for 99p - if seller knew they would be really fed-up!!
Clearly not reliable any more. Such a shame, as we've both used it regularly for a couple of years, and it was previously always completely reliable.0

I was trying to set up a snipe yesterday and couldn't even get on the site so it was a universal problem with the site. It hasn't always been reliable there have been phases before where it has had problems usually because of a change ebay had made and they have had to rewrite things.0

Goofbid has failed for me a couple of times and I've only been using it a couple of months, it last failed last week when an item I wanted to bid on went for £4.70 and my max bid was £10.52, it placed my bid but said I lost as my bid wasn't high enough????, not sure if I'm just not getting it!Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
