Me too, Glad. I'm also worried that we're talking about uses for well worn socks, that are too holey for darning.
Doesn't bear thinking about - especially if worn in combination with his bodies.
Mind you - I expect some men could use kiddies socks - they've usually grown out of them before there are holes in them(Not that I'm suggesting MATH would need kids socks though  )

I got through a whole bag of odd/holey socks when the youngest (he was 3) broke his leg. They were great for slipping over his plaster to keep his toes warm and just got thrown at the end of the day. Daughter (11) has been cutting them into rings and looping them together to make belts and straps for her home made bags. (Made from outgrown jeans with the legs cut off and sewn shut) and the dog has a couple of toys made by stuffing an old sock with other ones and tying the top shut, great for throwing games for her and the kids but don't leave it laying around for the dog to chew.
We seem to have a lot of old holey socks to get through don't we? Must get a life sometime0 -
You could donate them to a ballet school for the men to stuff down their tights... :rotfl:'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0

old socks with holes are useful for putting over a normal pair when you need some extra warmth0

If you have a cat (or small dog) put a couple of pairs of old socks over your hands when they come in from the et and stroke them. Not only does it take most of the wet and dirt off of them but it minimises the mess when they decide to shake and rub themselves on the carpet....
.. and they LOVE the fuss.
Much more practical than a towel and washable too.Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0
