    Morning All

Just eating breakfast, yogurt porridge as I call it, I just mix oats with some no/low fat plain Greek style yogurt, add a bit of sweetener as I have a sweet tooth, and a little chocolate spread to give it some flavour (chocoholic too) ;). Since I have been having this, find I stay full until lunch time, and my BP has been good. It was after reading both oats and yogurt were good for BP that I decided to try it, and so far so good. Just on one very low dose tablet now, which does not have any side effects for me. :j:j

Skye will join little dog in chasing the BD away for you all, she is such a happy little thing, and I had her trimmed and groomed yesterday ready for warmer climbs so she is bouncing like a new born lamb. If I can get her still enough for a moment I will try to post a photo later. She sends you all a big lick.

Had my Groupon pamper at a local saloon yesterday, very nice, facial, back massage, pedicure and then gel manicure. Didn't realise still she started the back massage, just how many knots there were in it:eek::eek: knew I had been feeling a bit stiff, but it has seemed to help. Never had a facial (or back massage) before, so was a nice. Experience, and the face feels. Dry smooth this morning.

Halight just looked up the Slap Cheek, and it said in adults it causes joint pain, wonder if that is what has been ailing you?

Well whatever else I have to do now, it has to be done before tomorrow as we are setting off at 7 am. Hairdressers at 8.30, blood donation at 2pm, packing in between. We have a smaller boot on the new car, so am having to "cut my cloth" accordingly.

Right better throw some clothes on and get the washer started for the clear up loads.

Takes care everyone, (((hugs))), spoons, chocolate, wind, bubbly or whatever your poison. BD go away!! Molly hope your boys are OK.

    Morning everyone

Halight - slap cheek is doing the rounds here too.

Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x

DH up and off to work but not stupid early.

Cloudy and very wet underfoot - it's been raining most of the night and everywhere is completely saturated again, although it's not raining at the moment.

Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket potato, beans/veg, DS1 went out straight after college with one of his friends and they had chips at his friends grandparents house so only had to cook for 3. Tonight I'm not sure what we are having - I need to go to town and the bank and do a food shop but bathroom fitter and electrician are coming today so need to be home, the fitter is excellent and I'm more than happy to leave him here for an hour, I'm not sure when I will get chance to go to the SM but I have to go at some point either today or over the weekend. Bathroom is nearly finished now, just the last few jobs to do and it looks stunning - if I could put some pics on here I would but don't know how!

Have a huge pile of dirty washing as haven't done any washing all week because all the rubbish is piled up in my garden - it looks like Steptoes yard - but we're going to get rid of everything this weekend and dad is coming with his trailer - so that will be sorted. Once workmen have gone today - I'll get the WM on, I can get 3+ loads done, only shame is I've missed all the lovely drying weather that we've had - this week weatherwise here has been excellent until today, but sounds like most of the country has rain today. Have quite a list of chores to be done, as haven't been able to get hardly anything done this week, although yesterday rang car insurance company as renewals for both cars had arrived, and after spending some time the night before getting some online quotes etc, rang them to get a more realistic renewal figure, told them what I expected based on 20+ other companies quotes and magically they are able to give me a better deal/price match - saved £186+ - I'm very pleased with that result! Until I started coming on this website I'd never have re-searched this as much as I do now - it becomes second nature, I virtually never pay out for anything now without making sure I'm getting the best possible value for money!

Have a great Friday everyone x

    Keep safe and well x

    Morning All,:j
Had a lovely day yesterday. Went to the British Legion on behalf of Dads Canal Zoners veterans. They meet every two months, and I love it. I am the youngest one there, and I do the minutes and run the raffle.:T We always have a great lunch too, very good chef. I had Liver and bacon, it was gorgeous!:T
Came home and sat in the sunshine till 6.30. Then the man who has bought my mobility scooter came and collected it. I have a bigger one now, I feel much more secure on this one.

Raining at the moment, but we have been told ours will clear in a few hours, then we have sun, but cooler than yesterday.:o

Going to make a batch of Welsh Cakes this morning in anticipation of Auntie Pat coming on Sunday.
    Salmon for dinner.

Halight Hope the twins are okay. Mine had slap cheek, it's not too bad, they may be a bit grumpy though!:rotfl:

    Have a good day all.

Halight I can tell you from experience slap cheek as an adult is agony  me and H had it off the kids, they were fine, we however hobbled round like decripit OAPs  I could hardly use my hands as joints hurt so much. I never want that again :(

LW and Jools <shoos away BD> hugs lovely ladies xxx

    Molly hugs for you x

We have sunshine today :D after a load of white cloud yesterday it's a nice change. Not much happening here, off up the bank and Sainsbugs and then having a dressmaking day with my mum. I want to improve sewing skills and we want to make DD some summer dresses so if I am going to learn we ought to make a start now!!

Tea tonight is Cajun chicken, better get chicken breasts out of freezer before I forget :o

Hugs and spoons all round xx

  • Good morning everyone :)

I did make an early morning post and then promptly lost it, so this is a sneaky work visit.

Very grey and drizzly today and gone back to being cold again, just when I thought Spring had finally arrived.

My cold is still lingering, it really does not want to leave me alone and every time I cough, my head, neck and throat are so painful. Can you tell I am in self pity mode? :o

Home made prawn and anchovy pizzas planned for tonight. I have never made pizza before so I will tell you how it works out. I don't like cooked cheese and DH loves it so it's a good chance to please both of us.

More ebay listing planned for tonight and the weekend. Lots more steam cleaning on the agenda too, I wonder if it's good for my cold?

Car is going in for a service and some pre-MOT work tomorrow. Am not optimistic about the cost of this and think we will probably use up all of our emergency fund and then some but we will see. A pleasant surprise may be heading our way ... just hope it's not the total opposite!

Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need them or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day :)

    Morning halight and all,

I'm ashamed to say i didnt hear youngest go to college again today. In fact i didnt open my eyes till gone 8.30. I was in bed at 11pm last night too. I guess the sleepless nights are now catching up on me and i do like to sleep.

Ive started on my jobs already though so i'm not doing too badly.

    Jobs for today

[STRIKE]Vacuum upstairs (and clean laminate flooring)[/STRIKE]
    Vacuum stairs
    Vacuum downstairs
    [STRIKE]Kitchen floor[/STRIKE]
    Dusting throughout
    Bathroom (if i get time)
I want to pop into Debenhams at some point today too.
Tea will be lamb and green mash (youngest has asked for it specifically).

Hoping to get a lot of things on my list done, what isnt done will get done tomorrow as hubby is working tomorrow.

Have a sunny day all :)

I'd never heard of slapped cheek virus before; I hope the twins are OK Halight.
Bitsy your description sounds like the way my joints have been for the past few weeks - I went to open the candle chest last night to get a white candle for the Full Moon, and it took me ages to get the lid open, it seemed so very heavy; I've never had that happen before.:(

I agree - my two are very good at chasing the black dogs away. Incidentally in real life my two white doggies really dont like black coloured dogs:)
It's not that uncommon, it seems - I get an information sheet with each of my guests, and according to the sheets, a few of them are not keen on black dogs.

Talking of which, The Jessicle:D should be here shortly. Big black Labrador.;)
