Vodafone Samsung S4 pre-order compensation

Hi everyone,

Could anyone help to see the content in the link below (prefix with http) if it doesn't work:

forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Samsung-Galaxy-S4/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-pre-order-compensation/td-p/1508970

is a valid case for legal action against Vodafone? Does this violate the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.

As people weren't informed reasonably earlier of the failure to comply by the commitments for pre-order, it has misled customers and created disappointment and led to wastage of time.

Also, this has created an unfair situation for customers where clearly now they can't cancel the orders to get the phone somewhere else as it would be out of stock everywhere else.

Thanks in advance..

Get over it. I am getting my direct from Samsung (not very MSE) at their Experience store and was due to collect it at a special event on Thursday evening before it went on general sale on Friday, they have had to move the event to breakfast time on Saturday before it goes on sale an hour or two later. Should I be suing Samsung? :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Not sure why would such a reputed company disappoint customers! The company surely operates without much sense, why couldn't it track how many phones are available against how many orders?

so you are for real then

maybe its because samsung delayed the phone so they took certain orders then werent given a true number?

If you call, (0)1932 454358 an say about the order, they give you £100 highstreet voucher
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Seems like this is SAMSUNG UK number. Do they give highstreet vouchers even if I ordered from Vodafone?
  • @spiro Samsung at least gave you the phone as it did for everyone else on the 1st day.

Vodafone promised to give on 26th for everyone.. but it is now giving on 1st come 1st served basis which is not pre-ordering..

    hope you get my point
