Ebay Courier Problems

  • Yes do put the same tracking number in on the case ,as that is applicable to both items.

I sold some old and bent and scrappy personal pieces of gold on my private ebay account, spread into 2 listings, the buyer who won appeared to purchase and sell just gold things all the time won both auctions and asked me to combine post, I did, sent it all as one using SD, and I got my very first negative ever they said one of the pendants was missing from the package. They didn't open a case against me ,but the feedback was false. I checked their listings later , say around a week, and SEEN the said distinctive pendant in amongst their next auction photos, and was sort of angry as I had no idea why someone would be so nasty, bad day at the office or something.

There is no reason why some people are petty and immature on ebay but it's a chance you take, just rise above it , as life is too short.

Give your side of the story to ebay reps and let them deal with it, you may lose but the buyers "win" should they get to keep the item and the money, just shows how you cannot fathom human beings and just have to forget about it and move on.
NB...People online who are here asking advice for "my friend" they really mean "myself"

Yeah you are right, I will take this stance in the future. I rushed in and replied straight away to the case, as I couldn't believe that they were claiming that they hadn't received it!

Thanks, I'll let you know how it goes....

You just did what most people would - explained the facts.

Its only because i have realised Ebay staff have a low attention span - that i have learned to cut the story down to a bare minimum.

I also no-longer add tracking into Ebay anymore. Since doing this - i have had NO claims for none arrival. I truely think some buyers, when looking through their accounts - click on the tracking provided and see it as not updated. They then know they can claim for INR if they wish. Where as most people, after receiving an item - immediately throw away the packaging - so would never dream of seeing if tracking updated a few weeks later.

The things we have to do to play Ebay at their own game :D
