Just got back from two different Mr T's after getting very angry at the first. Managed to find some Haribo bunny mix and Malteasers bunnies. Total- 3 bags. I was also buying some prosecco there. SA saw they were scanning at 1p, called over her supervisor and then they took them from me and refused to sell them. I was furious. The SA then claimed they couldn't sell them because they were actually earmarked for 'charity'. Utter bullcarp.
My Mum used to work in Mr T's and she said they get more money for 'wasting' the stock than they do for selling them to customers. I was livid so my Ma very kindly offered to drive me to another Mr T's. I got three bags of mini eggs for 3p and used the self service. Lesson learnt!
Having a really rubbish day actually- amazing job I was up for has been 'filled internally'Debt free 6th December 2014

Going on previous glitches, my calc was APG sees £5.72 (£3 for the first 6 and £2.72 for the last 4). Price at S for comparison is £2.70, so APG £3.02. Actually paid £4, so "net" cost 98p? Haven't actually tested it yet ......
Local T Express restocked the fairy wul, still going through at 32p this morningBut no 1p chocs
Could you give me details of the 32p fairy, as just going out and will be passing a T express....TIA0 -

Bad News - Things have become unmanageable with DS1. He has been more than abusive to OH and she's had enough. It has become a war zone in our house with everyone suffering whilst DS1 takes his anger out on all of us. No manner of punishment or reward works. OH told him to pack his stuff. Looks like he's moving to his Dad's during the summer holidays. I can say this honestly - I really am completely mixed about it. On one hand I'm sending a boy away that I love dearly to be with, well, a less than capable adult but on the other hand I'm making OH, DD1, 2 and 3 and DS2's lives easier. I'm so mixed with it I have cold sores all over, my hairs falling out faster than ever and I'm a bag of nerves. Not to mention the rage I feel that I really am struggling with whenever he talks to OH like she's a piece of ****. If it was anyone but my own child, they'd be flat out.
Are you involved with social services? Receiving any kind of respite?
You really need to be shouting from the rooftops for help for the lad and for yourselves.
Please dont take this as a criticism, thats not how its meant. xLove your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -

Angelsmadv just wanted to say maybe DS1 will realise the grass is not greener, and you will all look back at the experience one day as a positive. :Atigerwhite wrote: »Even 11yr olds will eventually miss rules (and clean grundies:D) when things are lax for a few weeks.. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

AngelsMadv wrote: »He's just turned 11. The problem with the thinking is that any child at his age would feel the same looking at it. He goes to his dad's and gets to stay up late, watch 18 rated movies, have unlimited computer time, wear same underpants for 7 days, not wash or brush his teeth, and eat pizza for every meal. Add to that he gets what he wants even if he misbehaves. Who wouldn't want to leave my home with its rules and regulations!
Hopefully he'll come to see later that it was all put in place for his benefit.
Hi, I hope you don't mind me interrupting, but we have the same problem on both sides:eek:
Ds 11 gives my oh such grief sometimes, really pushes his buttons, knowing full well that we/I don't do smacking beating etc... That when he gets sooo bad, I will threaten to send him to his dad's, I have been known to pack his things at times:eek::eek: ds always backs down, knowing that the grass isn't always greener and that his dad would be far more strict then I am (he is South African, where they still believe in capital punishment:eek:)
Then on the other my ss ( haven't quite got to the darling ss yet:eek:) 10 came to live with us last November, he was unruly, being caught shop lifting, getting brought home By the police, stealing from school etc.... Had the reading and writing age of a 6 year old. His mum never told dh of all this, told the school dh didn't exist, wasn't around etc.. only when the school contacted social services did we find out. Anyhow, although all isn't perfect at home, we are getting there. Ss is doing well at school, not quite caught up, but should have by the time he leaves primary.
Now, social services have said he can't go back to live with his mum..... Ever. If we were not able to keep him, then he goes in to care:eek:. We now have 4 boys sharing one room:eek: which is hard, space is such a premium, but we will not let him go in to care, have started begging the council to extend, which they are going to investigate out situation.
I think, what I am trying to say is, hang in there, you know you are doing the best for him:A0
