When my mother passed away and it was her funeral, i too, was worrying about my shoes, my top, etc. I worried that i had on too much make up. But at the moment when i saw her coffin. I suddenly realised that nothing was important. I had to just be there. Do the right thing and make her proud. I was the most grown up, i've ever been.
I know she'd have been proud of me, and i hold on to that. I hope you do too, tiny.
Life is all going to end and all the sufferings she had, and all the worries are all gone. However, we will never be able to hold these precious people in our arms again. That's the part that hurts. I so wish i could hold my mother's hand - just once more. It often hits me. But as time passes, you will smile, more than you will cry. But you will never forget.
My thoughts are with you at the moment. The end of life of a dear loved one, is so sad for those who are left behind.
Beautiful words xx0 -

one thing though. It certainly does make you think about how you bring your own children up and what sort of relationship you have with them. I like to think the good thing Thats come out of my situation is that I learned how NOT to treat my kids
No def not just you.
I agree 100%.
I was terrified about having kids, thinking what if I turn out like her...
I can't imagine my daughter growing up and not speaking to her or seeing her, seems beyond comprehension, so it definitely made me think. I want to be the kind of mum to my daughter that my mum should have been to me, if you know what I mean.
Families eh?!...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
