This is something I often ponder.
I haven't had any contact with my mum for nearly 10 years, which is a long time considering I'll be 28 this year. It's not something I dwell on either, I've long made peace with the fact that she wasn't interested when I was trying to fix things.
But I do wonder if that will change if something were to happen to her. I suppose it's one of things that you'll never know how you'll feel until it actually happened. It feels like too much water has passed under the bridge to sort it now.

Hope you had a lovely evening with hubby home :) xx

I haven't seen my dad since I was 16, very difficult relationship due to abuse of my mum. I don't ever want a relationship with him and am not in contact now with anyone who would inform me if/when he dies. To be honest I think that's better for me I wouldn't want to be in the position of having to choose whether to visit him if he was ill, I don't feel as much hatred towards him as I used to but can never forgive him.

I did thank you. Well it was a bit awkward at first. Hard to explain, trying to be normal when things aren't normal :o

But he cooked, he insisted....I tried protesting but he still insisted :D The relief on the kids faces :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hes lost weight though :( Im sure He hasn't been eating much. Hes very fussy about having fresh food and freshly cooked food. Hopefully only another week or so :)

He is very lucky to have you xx

Nice and Easy is the way to go, if you have not done it before. Start with a non permanent one, my "friend" did. ;)
