This time I voted Conservative for the locals, because at 7am, they were the only representatives at the polling station. If I have to vote for someone, it stands to reason that the party that turn up at that time and make the effort to engage and do something, well they're probably the party that will make the effort to fight my corner if I ever need them to.

Can't say I like their leader, (in fact I detest him), but on a local level they seemed like the guys who would get stuff done.

Perhaps not the best reason to vote, but then again, if nobody votes, how long until the government decide that democracy is not what the people want and turn to something worse.

Just my strange view of the world, I'm sure there's plenty who disagree and I'm happy to debate that. Do love a good debate

I got stopped at the tills in sot using the toothpaste coupon out of the magazine and the nice chap on the till was telling me how a woman had used £600 of fraudulent vouchers over the last few weeks . They finally nabbed her now everything has to be checked. yawn

Ants were my mum's worse nightmare. I will always remember her with her rubber gloves on and a tub of ant powder, dusting around her bungalow. It never did the trick, they were always back.
