I've also had a load of personal family problems to get through that have prevented me from getting to SADA as often as I might have and generally shopping at the nearest store to me when I feel up to it.
We as a family have had some very good news but also some devastating news as well. There are two babies due in the family, one is to DH's sister so my 1st niece or nephew, due in Nov. The other is to my cousin, this little guy isn't going to make itthe docs have given him a 1% chance of surviving birth and even if he does he may only live for a few hours. The docs suspect he has Edwards syndrome, he also has a hole in the top of his spine, a faulty valve somewhere in his skull allowing spinal/brain fluid to leak out which is forming in a mass at the base of his skull and growing quite quickly. Cousin is booked in to have a C-section in August and has been to price a plot in the graveyard for the wee guy, we were talking about grave stones and I took her to see my DH's one as she wants one that will last and not fade. It just seems so surreal that in one hand we were looking at getting him a christening gown and a matter of hours later pricing his funeral
Suffice it to say I've really lost my mojo and in the grand scheme of things it's not that important, sorry if I've upset anyone but today and the past few have been very hard. I've tried not to upset anyone by talking about it as emotions are running very high at the moment.
Spiralling Down, I really felt I had to comment on your post. I won't go into upsetting details but exactly the same thing happened to our baby in 2007. It was the most devastating thing in the world and the grief that followed nearly broke me forever. That may sound a bit melodramatic but unless it's happened to you or your family you will never understand. Be prepared for a long road of recovery ahead with your cousin. I know you have suffered family tragedy in the past and I hope you can all pull together for your cousin.
Big hugs BSQ x0 -
Evening. SD - that's terrible news, what a horrible thing for her to be dealing with. It's like a tragic and surreal count down until August, I can't imagine what your family is going through.Tiger

I hear you when you say its hard to find your mojo when life is being a cowbag. It's been a long tough winter for me too but the sun is now shining and the summer is around the corner so join me and fling your head skyword and draw in a huge breath of that spring air till you feel like your chest is gonna burst. It helps.............a bit.0 -

Just a stupid bloke. It happened with us (well, similar) and in my stupid bloke opinion the best thing you can do is just get another kid going when you're ready/ ASAP. Ie don't dwell on the past but think to the future.
Sorry, I know I'm stupid. But neither m'dear wife nor I never think about or mentions the one that died but we both just concentrate on the ones that are living.0 -
My heart goes out to your and your family SDWishing you all good luck!
