I'll still go and get as many as I can tomorrow to add to my collection because i'm sure they will keep longer than that. But just be aware, for those feeding small children or the elderly.
I've found the chopped ones here are dated Aug and the whole ones Sept.
I've probably only got about 20 tins left (I did have 40 but shared half out amongst family members).
If I don't find any takers for the rest in the next month i'll probably donate the rest to the local food bank.
Unless anyone can suggest a receipe that uses tinned tomatoes that's easy for someone who sucks at cooking to doHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Yes. Thank you.

Yep - I also mentioned this a couple of weeks ago.
Now finding September dates, but not much better.
However I think they will be fine, but as you say beware if feeding anyone vulnerable.0 -
To be honest I think it depends on the code.
Thanks flo....I've had a quick look on the tesco codes thread and I think it's probably a single use one. Someone else has a code for the same discount and the last three letters/ numbers are different. Means I can get some cheapish wine. Was hoping it meant others could too
On that note 20% off Italian wines on Ts wine by the case. Cheapest I can work out is £3.19 a bottle delivered ( excluding Lambrusco, which is alot cheaper but not proper wine IMO:rotfl:). Free delivery is kicking in too. Not cheap enough for most, I know. But might help someone. It's a shame the fizz isn't included0 -

This recipe immediately comes to mind:
Slug of olive oil
2 large onions (possibly bought during glitchy shops?)
2 cloves of garlic
Salt & Pepper to taste
Asda smart price mixed herbs (about a teaspoon)
Some fresh basil if you can get it whoopsied or dried
2 cans of Parioli
1 stock cube - Just use what you've got
Cook onions and garlic till transperant with a good slug of olive oil, add tomatoes, add herbs and stock cube and a pint of hot water and simmer. Once cooked, you can either blitz it a bit, or have it chunky. You could even add a chilli to give it a kick at the time of cooking the onions off. AND freeze.0 -

Ooooh might give this a try (although DH can't stand garlic so wonder if I could omit that)
Might go nicely with some of the parioli pasta from tomorrow.
Got everything on that list except stock cubes (and garlic)

For "dainty" read small?! Maybe just as well I wasn't one of those that had any allocated!
Other musings:
These AE's are driving me nuts. are they peeps happy to let others know of their usual ID on here? Why do they need another? Are they people just posting for a wind up?
FB groups sharing/not sharing, who cares? one way or another the info might find it's way over here, but there isn't any need for any stirrers.
Been outside and heard a church bell ringing slowly and singly, and thought I'd post: having recently lost a second family member, one reflects on life et al.
Savings, why? For retirement? or maybe I won't even get to the new state pension age?
Do what you want to do now, whilst you can
