Im off to catch up0 -
Tosco Extra has it with the single bottles of drinks - in the drinks section, think others have it with sandwiches/kiosk/ little fridges by check-outs.
Have also seen them in Sada
Got 8 yesterday and have just spent the afternoon requesting and printing on my other accounts - a bit tedious - have only printed in black to save ink. these were taken no probs - hope the rest will be :rotfl:
Not been out today, wet and windy hereand feeling a bit down.
Have to get friend's birthday present tomorrow as it is her birthday and I have been procrastinating as don't know what to get.
Think it might be some costume jewellery from M&S.
Love my friend ,but seems the longer you know someone the harder it gets ?
Seems like you have already bought everything you can think of.
Anyone got any good ideas?
Some of the best presents I have ever had have been experiences:)
How about taking her to lunch or an expensive cream tea at a posh hotel:)To do is to be. Rousseau

In my store there are 2 aisles of special offers - usually not real offers, just things with no home but I noticed today they also put these canned toms in this section and a £1 SEL - no indication of the bogof. Very sly of them . I think anything £1 goes in this section“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Evening all
Congratulations to artha and his dw
Also congratulations to me as my darling baby boy is 24 today.
Going to bedford in the morning for a couple of days as we always celebrate with dinner and cinema just the 2 of us. Also on duty to take dgd to nursery tuesday morning and then seeing dgs in the afternoon, so busy busy busy.
Just had a few emails from a man I adore inviting me to visit him in the usa. He has moved and is now in Ft Walton so must go on Google maps and see where that is. Presuming it is in Atlanta as that is where he moved after florida.
Would be lovely to go as had such fun when I visited him in cocoa beach.
FC hope you have had an acceptable day. Don't know if you were due to visit oh today but did see meantion of the bear list this morning. Pleased your ds2 was googling them all so he knew who they were.
We might have to play it with places or countries one night as great for geography.

I was hoping to have a lovely glitch to share with you all, but I've just checked my results and it's coming up N/A.
Mr A Butcher's Selection rump steak is £4 a pack, 2 for £7 and showing on msm as the same price in Mr T. However, I'd noticed this afternoon on msm that when you put some in your basket it was showing 2 packs as being £7 at A and £4 at T, and 4 packs being £14 at A and £7 at T. There seemed to be a bogof working on the T price as well as the multibuy. The same applied to the Butcher's Selection sirloin and frying steaks.
Sadly it's showing as N/A on the APG, but this is yet more evidence that A's claim to just use msm as their data source for the APG can't be right - it's more complicated than that. I'm guessing it's a weight discrepancy in this case, but I'm increasingly finding that msm compare the most random products, and then they don't compare. It's vital to check on the supermarkets' own websites where possible, but the claim to use msm as the source data is just nonsense. If only we could work out what happens in practice.......
Hi there, good evening. The Butcher's Selection Rump Steak is showing N/A for T when I'm logged out. When logged in, as you say, it shows T at "Any 2 for £7.00". However, the T product is outside of the 10% weight limit that applies to the APG. A's product is 283g. When I switch over (on MSM) to T, and look for "Rump Steak", the one it shows at "2 for £7.00" is "Tesco Beef Rump Steak (Approx 250g)". Unfortunately, 283 (the weight of the A product) minus 28.3 (10% of the weight) equals 254.7. The APG wouldn't therefore link this to a product showing with a weight of 250g.
As regarding (not) being able to "work out what happens in practice", I could have worked this out here from what is on MSM.co.uk. It is possible to work out what happens in practice on this occasion, although unfortunately you appear not to have gone into the full and watertight check that only pedants like me would do!
The APG site Q&As include a question "How will I know if the item I have bought is classed as a 'qualifying item'?" It says, basically, you can check mysupermarket, and goes on to say:
"Please be aware on the mySupermarket website the differences in supermarket own label product pack sizes can be up to 50% less and 100% more (half the size and double the size) and none of the prices are adjusted according to weight. However in the ASDA Price Guarantee, the product weight/pack size difference between competitor products must be within 10% for them to be compared, consistent with the guidelines on making product comparisons set out by the Advertising Standards Authority. Additionally the prices on the ASDA Price Guarantee are adjusted to account for the differences in size."
You might point out to me that the weight for the T product is given as "Approx." 250g, and therefore it could be slightly more and thus come within the 10% weight range. However, if it is "approximate" it means the weight may vary, whereas A's item states specifically "283g" and is therefore fixed weight. Fixed weight items are not comparable to variable weight ones and vice versa.
I had initially thought that the mention of the effect of a possible BOGOF at T might have explained the N/A. In which case, as there would have appeared to have been both a multibuy and a BOGOF working on certain quantities on MSM.co.uk, this might have returned N/A on the APG because "...the product is part of a promotion which makes it difficult for mySupermarket to make a fair comparison" (APG Q&As).
I may then have suggested mix and matching different products that both have equivalents that are each part of the BOGOF at T, as apparently MSM has no difficulty with those, when a mix and match is done, but 2x the same item does not appear to compare vs competitor BOGOFs. (I think this was done as part of A's resolving of the glitch on 3 for 2s vs W and other supermarkets last September.)
However, it seems here (at least with the Rump Steaks), it's a simple "outside 10% weight range" and therefore non-comparable on APG. As the APG Q&As also say, ways in which [MSM decides if a product is comparable] include:
"Compare goods where there is no more than a 10% difference in size/weight/volume and will ensure that the prices are adjusted so that the equivalent price of identical size/weight/volume products are compared."
I could smugly say "read T&Cs and Q&As beforehand". However, I know very often people do not and the 10% weight range, or the fact that MSM.co.uk goes up to half or double weight, isn't obvious and people wouldn't be expected to know this was the case.0 -
