Maybe
But the siblings could well have their own children by then and their caring side may have developed. I have friends who are nearing 50 with autistic siblings and they realise that the responsibility will rest with them.squilliondollarbaby wrote: »
But closer to death and I worry about what my severely autistic son will do with himself when I'm dead 40 years before he dies if you see what I mean.
Who knows what life will bring. I do feel that there is more awareness of autism now and the numbers are sufficiently large that as a society we know that we have a responsibility to care for those whose carers are no longer around.
Saying that I have a friend who has an autistic daughter whose needs were so great that she has needed to be in a residential setting since the age of 3. When she used to come home for holidays the family found it very stressful. The work that the unit have done is amazing. She is now (aged 24) moving in with a young man who lives in the unit with her. Obviously they will both need support for ever, but this is something that was beyond the parents wildest dreams when she was younger.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I was sure you mentioned the "meat" word originally. I was giggling and then it just changed.
It's just become a swear word:rotfl:

Someone was obviously in my store today and cleared out the in date bars as the boxes were all suddenly empty
Hahaha. Can't blame them. Do they taste OK or are they just your typical awful diet bar things? I quite fancied the mint choc ones, but I was not prepared to pay 50p for one! Hell no....In relation to the Viking direct 5000 Nectar points that Viking didn't cough up.
I had paid by Paypal and took it to Resolution. Had this response from Paypal today and just hope Viking don't block my 2 x £15 gift cards that I purchased fair and square...
Sorry pet, but they will. They can de-activate the cards from their end which they did with mine when I asked for a refund. Unless you run out tomorrow morning and use them before they can de-activate them. Having said that, they will probably invoice you again if you use them.
Do I have to go to work tomorrow? Sooooooo can't be bothered!:o:o
