Yes, it is very unfair that after sufferring 3 years on a degree I have hated that I can not even get a half decent job. It is unfair because everyone else I know has got a decent job lined up or PG study and I have struggled just as hard as them and I have got nothing.

If "everyone else you know has got a decent job lined up" then you need to look closer to home for the reasons why you haven't.

Maybe the jobs you are applying for (I assume you are applying for jobs?) require experience to go with the qualifications that you do not have yet ?

Or maybe you come accross as unfocused (just saying you want to be successful does not make you focused) or negative - a positive attitude and a willingness to work and learn new skills are very important.

I know I am a useless and worthless person and really all I do is sit here reading these put downs and they make feel even worse and bitter so really I don't know why I bother.

My lack of experience is an issue for some jobs yes. But none of the people I know with jobs lined up have vastly more experience than me.

So what are YOU doing about it?

I wish I could be more like all the successful people on here getting good marks and achieving success if it was possible. There is nothing I can do about that as my chances and life are wasted now and so I might as well just accept that and give up.

Interesting to compare this poster with Anewman. Both have been unable so far to find a suitable job after graduation. But Anewman has worked tremendously hard to overcome a disability; has achieved a great deal (going from being written off as a failure by his school to a first class honours degree) and willing to put a lot of effort and resources into improving his situation. I was told I would never pass GCSEs or A levels at school and I worked damn hard to pass them and damn hard to get a degree. So how have I not worked hard and tried to improve myself then?

It is my fault for ever dreaming or hoping to achieve anything in life. It is my fault for being so useless and picking a course I hate and not being able to do it.

At first I found it difficult to accept that if you get a good degree from a good uni it doesn't by any means guarantee you even a vaguely decent paying job but it annoys me that you think you're the only one in this situation. Mr cupid worked for 12 months earning about 12k depsite graduating with a first and it took him 5 months after graduating to find that job.

Why should you jump into a well paid brilliant job with your 2:2 when he struggled to get anything with a first class degree, despite having held down part time jobs before and having had a life beyond a computer whilst at uni.

Don't compare yourself to all these people who apparently are doing so wonderful because they're not in the majority. Quit moaning and keep looking.

I know for a fact several places are looking for call centre staff at the moment.....
