If youve got 19 yrs out of a combi, your doing well.0

Just get in a competent WB installer to sort this out-your guys clearly don't have a clue, and couldn't care less if they can't even be bothered to remove the cover. What does it matter if the next nearest has to travel a few miles further?
PS: It is not an exhaust, it's a flue (it acts as both inlet and exhaust). No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

I used to have an old non-condensing Saunier Duval combi boiler. The fan on that ran 24 hours a day for the entire life of the boiler. The only exception was if the boiler was completely shut down.
When the boiler was off, it would run slowly; when the boiler was running it would operate at full speed. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Then it was faulty, a fan shouldn't run 24/7I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

See if you can find a copy of the instruction manual for a Saunier Duval 620F (I managed to find one at http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/saunier-duval-sd-620f-installation-manual-t49451.html). See section 3.12.
The fan runs constantly, by design, all the time that the pilot light is on. The only way to stop it is to shut the boiler down completely using the red STOP button on the front. If it sticks, force it.

My apologies Ecto, I have that MI on my phone & yes you are perfectly correct in what you say, just goes to prove that after 31 yrs in the trade you are never to old to learn something new, that is the first boiler I have seen with electronic ignition & a permanent pilotI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
