... Finally booked a hotel for our friends' civil partnership in Edinburgh; Premier was fully booked so I cashed in some points and got Holiday Inn Express near the waterfront for a good deal. ....

It's really nice in that one, if you have time will you pop & see Britannia while you're there?

Can I join you for this, pretty please?:o BD slept on my bed last night, so I'm feeling less than 100% today (oh alright, if I'm honest, I feel less than 10%, but what's an extra 0 between friends?):D

Gentle wolfy hugs my lovey and you can most definitely join us x

Ironing done. Now dog walking beckons. Where is this sun you all speak of? Thick white cloud here :/

Mr LW used to be something of a hoarder; I think it stemmed from him living on his own, but I've gradually got him around to Wolfy's Mantra:
"If In Doubt, Turf It Out".:D

I've got him onto the idea of The Giveaway.... if an item is no longer of use or appropriate for you, then pass it along so that someone else can get benefit/enjoyment from it.:o

    Afternoon girls and guys,

Sorry to hear the bd is visiting some of you, hope he leaves soon.

Just back from hospital appointment with the surgeon, he thinks its definitely a cartilage tear which he should be able to fix with key hole surgery. I should be in and out in the next month. He is hoping its straight forward and not to find any arthritis, fingers crossed.
I will go into a private hospital not far away. It seems its common practice now to pay private hospitals to do these straight forward ops. Suits me fine just want it done quick.
Have listed lots of items on eBay today. Also picked up a Mirror and got my Aldi voucher. Hoping to spend just about £40 this week and get £5 off that should cover this weeks shopping with what we've already got, end of the month and things are tight.
Chilli made, just the two of us tonight, ds3 is at his granny B's tonight and middle son has all but moved out, he comes home once or twice a week for clothes. So lots left for the freezer.
Have found first day back healthy eating fine. I'm a little hungry now but have had some fruit to hold me until chilli time.
Very wet and miserable here, we seemed to have missed out on all the lovely sunshine some of you have been having.
    Enjoy your evening x

    Evening all
Sunny here all day, I have washing on the line, I'll bring it in before I go to bed a rain is forecast overnight.
At least we haven't had to rush back to work this evening so we've pottered in the garden for ages.
The letter has arrived from the hospital, the posh name for my eye problem is vitreomacular traction syndrome, bit of a mouthful isn't it!
Hugs ,wine and/or chocolate as needed for those with the BD.
I used to be a bit of a hoarder, but clearing out my mothers bungalow after her death cured me of that, lol. My house isn't minimalist but I have periodic clearouts & bin what's not needed.
Pay day today, I have a birthday gift to buy for DD & also food to contribute to a party, so it will be a tight month, nothing new there then. I squeezed my monthly supermarket shop down to £62 & only need bacon from the butchers, the pennies will be squeezed here this month.
    Enjoy your evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Rage in Eden - I also recommend visiting Britannia if you possible can. It isn't a cheap visit but so worth it I think. That;s a great hotel. A no 22 bus will take you into city centre. You should get one every 5 mins and they go past railway station and airport bus stops. There's an Asda within walking distance - 10 mins maybe? Turn right at end of road and keep walking. There's also a recently re-opened pub called Old Pier or maybe just Pier which says it serves food. You sit overlooking the Forth. Haven't been though! Again it's to the right at the end of rd and is after Asda. Let me know if you want any more info on anything around. If not, have a great trip!

    Butterfly,

Thank you for asking about my dad, his chest infection seems to be on the way out after 2 lots of antibiotics, his thrush in his mouth seems to have cleared too, its always difficult to tell, as he can no longer speak and tell us where it hurts, so we kind of have to guess :( xx

Several black dogs here at present, no real reason except that I just feel as if there is no reason to bother carrying on...a phone call from my oldest friend this evening didn't help, she seems to ramble on about nothing a lot of the time....I am convinced that she is drinking in the evenings, she lives alone, but I daren't say anything as once I did and she didn't talk to me for ages....denied she was drinking.

Hugs to all in need or want of one, stay safe and well

    Marie
