O/S Daily Thursday 25th April

O/S Daily Thursday 25th April 2013 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Nice morning here,

A good sleep for me again. Not long got up. Went to bed at 10:00pm too. So Again pleased about that.
I seem to have had a lot more nights of good sleep than bad the last three weeks.
Still waiting to hear off the hospital.

We had too rain showers here In the end yesterday.

No plans really for today.

my wife's at work this afternoon. And she has choir tonight. So its a Pizza for dinner for me tonight.

I might get some more seeds planted if the weather ok later.

Just too let everyone know, If you buy the daily mirror today there is a £5 off a £40 shop Voucher at Aldi. They do these every two week's We had used a few of them now. They also print some other coupons For money off In store on product's the save a few pence one's. But the £5 one is really the one that's worth having.

Well I hope that everyone has a good day.,

Enjoy

Morning all,
Very misty here so that means it will proberbly be a nice day, just as well as we hope to get the rest of the tree felled, sawn into managable sized logs and stacked. I do hope the tree men turn up, they only did 4.5 hours y/day. They are charging £240 a day but if they think we're paying them for 2 days then they had better think again !!
Shep pie was delish last night, DH said it was so much more tastier than cottage pie. There's enough for tonight so just some more veg to cook. BM and wm will be put on when the sun's up.
Got to vacume through because of the mess caused by trundling the logs through the house, quick swish in the kitchen and portion the soup made y/day and freeze.
Hope you all have a good and sunny day.

Good Morning everyone and another bright sunny day at the moment.School run first thing then home to wash the nets and clean the insides of the windows (window cleaner came yesterday and did the outsides) sun shows up how grotty the windows are :)Feels like my house is covered in dust its really not but the sun is a bit unforgiving at showing up the nooks and crannies that need doing. This month is whizzing by at the moment I nmade a nice veggie curry yesterday (used up lots of past its best veg) and got three portions into the freezer for later
I also made a banana custard from two bananas that were looking a bit sad.Tonights dinner is a couple of lamb chops from the freezer some left over sweet potato and mixed veg with banana custard for pud.I'm managing to stay out of the shops as much as possible, but will have to walk through the presinct today to pick up my meds from the drs, so I shall keep my eyes firmly averted from any offers.Only 15 weeks to go until our family holiday so I'm saving as much as I can for that
Hope you all have a good day and the sun shines down on you all

Morning :hello:

The pity party for myself, by myself, didn't happen yesterday  Mr tru rang to say our carpet had come in and two fitters were out and about in Glos so he's sending them round. So I had to empty the fridge freezer to move it and move all the seed trays out. The table won't fit through the door without taking it apart so I left that in for the fitters to take outside. Ending up cleaning out the fridge and hoovering under the units before the plinths went back on. Then hoovered the new carpet and thought I might as well hoover everywhere as it's out. Then I grated a load of cheese and cleaned out Timmy's cage.

I'm having today off to do lots of ripply crochet :D

• Good morning everyone :)

Day off today so managed to sleep in a little bit later.

I really can't shake this cold thing off and my head is banging and throat is really sore, it feels like it is going then keeps coming back.

Not much planned for today and as I feel a bit worse for wear and the weather looks very threatening, I think I will concentrate on some ebay listing. There is a huge pile of stuff here that could be making some money, so let's give it a go. I always try a couple of times, then send it to the charity shop if it does not sell so either way, it gets decluttered in the end. Shall I start with vintage jigsaws, old games or silver plate .....

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need them or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day :)
