That is rather expensive and as an import from the US at over £15.00 in total then liable to VAT and a charge for clearance by RM at £8.00 if it gets spotted and only sp30. Doesn't seem to be available in the UK?
I would use any available 50% DEET formula but also look at other options to avoid getting bitten such as covering up with loose light coloured clothing, not wearing any perfumed antiperspirants, wash gels etc.
Staying indoors at dusk and dawn if practical although there are daytime biting mossies and other biting insects, depends were your going.
There's lots of advise on the internet.0 -

But it's not your choice to make is it?
You jumped the gun thinking you were some slick Rick riding in on a silver back.
The kid might have eczema between her toes, or on her face? You don't know and neither do I.
But from extensive travels I do know, that the best thing to keep mosquitoes away is DEET.
With Tiger Balm a close second.0 -
I'm a complete mozzie magnet, the horrid things love me. I use the following: 100% deet repel stuff from amazon (not sure if this is ok for kids or not), boots soltan with mozzie repellant, after sun with mozzie repellant, boots mozzie wipes that I carry in my bag to rub round my ankles, arms etc at dusk, jungle formula spray as a top up when I'm out as the repel might leek in my bag, Asian patches that stick inside your clothes and smell of citronella, mozzie nets in hotels that have them and I've tried those bracelet things but tend to hang them off my bag instead as they irritate my skin. They still manage to bite me though as they seek out the tiniest bits of skin I've missed with repellant. Make sure you have anti histamines, bite cream and zap things for if you do get bitten.0

Agree with Mr Wang on the Tiger Balm as is very effective on mozzie bites. Son lives in Thailand (over 7 years now) and we also have some Thai friends there and that is what they recommend. As Manuel says in Fawlty Towers: " I Know Nothing"0

I have no idea what it's called but I buy small green and white tins of something in Boots in Thailand for mozzie bites. It comes in lip balm sized tins and works really well.0 -
Hi
there's a big thread on here from last year or year before on what works. Some say using original source lemon shower wash to wash with and Avon skin so soft during the day but have a search. The Cabbage

Would you mind putting the link up for the 100% Deet you use please. Last year a friend gave me some she had brought from Canada and it was amazing. I bought some of a different brand from eBay but it was useless and seemed less oily and too watery if you know what I mean.
I don't wanna keep going through snide products but would love some that actually has 90-100% DEET since I too am a walking kebab.
Thanks0 -

This is what I use and it seems to work, it is a pump spray and quite oily though http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pyramid-Repel-100-Insect-Repellent/dp/B000VZFNR4
When I was in Indonesia with friends they all used jungle formula and I used this and I only got a couple of bites while everyone was covered in them. I found the local stuff smelled really nice (in pink bottles with a floral smell) but was only 30% deet. I've also found mozzies can cause far worse reactions in certain countries. I'm terrified of them in Hong Kong and Japan after the reactions I had yet in other countries they've just been annoying bites.0 -

Thanks, I have used the stuff in the pink and white bottles loads of times. Its actually pretty good, but it doesn't last too long.
Though I get seriously munched by mosquitoes they almost always bite me on my ankles and lower legs wherever in the world I am :cool:0 -
OH was a mozzie magnet, and son tends to get bitten. I use the original source lemon showergel , the boots repel and take wipes as a top up when out! Take some hydrocortisone cream to take the itch out of any bites you do get!RIP Iain
