Hi wwhere we're going on holiday in June alot of reviews on trip advisor have mentoned mosquitos. Does anyone have any tips to help deal with this problem? Any products to reccomend me before i go out and waste money. We're travelling with 3 children one of which has eczema so a little concerned about what to try with her.

The only thing I have ever found to work is DEET.

And you think DEET is going to be good for a child with exzema?

It is inadvisible to use Skin So Soft in it's UK guise. It has no repellent properties.

The linked product contains IR3535 as a repellent and it is the US version. It will work but it is an expensive alternative to other products which use IR3535.

Look for products with the following actives which should be suitable:-

    IR3535
    Icarin (Bayrepel)
Oil of Lemon Eucaluptus (also known as P-Methane-diol)

Buy one or two of the plug in anti mosquito thingy but make sure that you buy them for the appropriate socket.

I'm not a skin specialist, or a doctor - Are you?

Additionally I don't know to what extent the child has eczema, or where they have it - Do you?

Boots Repel is a DEET-based repellant that does not set off my excema/skin irritations (unlike Jungle Formula and many others) and either version (yellow - mild, silver - strong) is far better than standard Skin So Soft - Which is a myth as only gets any repellant properties from its solvents - which means it only works for a very short time before needing complete reapplication.

And the "repellant" version of Skin So Soft also marketed in the UK is pitiful - an extremely low concentration.

No, but I can make an informed choice based on information available.

I did link and refer to Skin so soft bug off not standard. Does repel also have a sun-block?
