Could someone kindly point me towards the threads on conditioner only washing please as I would like to try this and need to know which brands are suitable. I have tried to search but I do find the search on here not very easy (maybe I am doing something wrong )

For tangled long hair we use boots coconut and almond conditioning spray... it also seems nitty Nora's don't like it either as we've not had them since.

According to my hairdresser all these de-tangle sprays, creams etc are just diluted conditioner, and you can make your own by mixing some normal conditioner with some water so that it thin enough to spray.

It might work well on thin hair, but the bristles are nowhere near thick or long enough to get through thick hair like mine.

This surprises me as my son used to use a tangle teaser on his afro when he was growing it and it used to go through his hair fine and that was one thick afro :rotfl:

I had this too with mine. I used one of those rings at first but then she wouldnt let me use that ... so the next stage was I just got on and did it through the winging and protesting! ....which led onto a compromise that she could hold the end of the towel near her face to wipe any drops as they happened and she started putting her head back to rinse for me amazingly!

Do you have any tips for someone with wooly hair? I've never met anyone with hair like mine before. i am white so it isnt afro but it is totally uncontrollable but then again would stay where I put it! it's also almost waterproof!

Do you brush it or comb it? What do you wash it with, and styling products?
and not wetting is a 'condition' problem I think....both are, to a degree, in my hair when its being abused, . The staying out is handy anda useful feature. I plait my hair and put nothing in the end for doing chores in the morning morning, and it often holds till I am finished
