Great post, I would never have thought of this, thanks.

Loads of inspiration for lunches that don't need microwaving, since we have no staff room.

I get mine from eBay but they're shipped from Japan and only a treat because they're expensive for a lunchbox! I have seen them in poundland before though, not the cute fancy ones available on eBay but the same sort of box

Hi Lambanana (great name!), where do you buy your Bento boxes from. My daughter is desparate for one for school. Thanks very much. Deb

    Hi dm,

I don't have a bento box but I checked on google for you and you can buy them from Laptop Lunches and japanesekitchen.co.uk. Or as the OP says, she has seen different versions in pound shops.

the ones on japanesekitchen.co.uk are disposable ones designed for japanese restaurants/takeaways
lock and lock do divided boxes though which are popular to use for bento.

I, too, would love to know where people get these from! I'm picky about lunch boxes, I like ones that I know won't leak (like lock and lock style boxes). But I'd love something all neatly partitioned like this so I don't end up with a backpack full of little tubs!

Ive got one from poundland. they seem to always have them with a sppon & fork in the top.

Its partitioned but not lock & lock, so i expect it would leak if anything wet was put in .

I like it for crusty bread on the bottom, then meat/ cheese/ salami and then sala leaves in rthe other partition. Sometimes when I make sandwiches they can go a bit soggy so these are good enough. .
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Hi sarahmelita, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your bento box from, I have been looking for one, but don't want to spend a fortune on shipping from Japan! Thanks. Deb

I got mine from ebay, it was about £9 including shipping, but came with chopsticks, a coolbag, paper food cases and 3 sauce pots.
