30 months to no debt - an Optimistic Journey

  • I don’t think us north eastern folk are particularly affected by it. Indeed, we seem to have had mizzle and mist for about a fortnight, when everyone else was wearing bikinis. I think its only news when its in the south to Sky… BBC are slightly more regionally friendly but Skys coverage seems to be Cambridgeshire and south. They occasionally report on happenings in Gloucestershire but seem to leave them to flood water and cider. Scotland is “north of the wall” and left to the white walkers… as for Wales… is that still attached?? Leeds is a mythical city surely. Manchester is ok, as a huge % of the population of sky newsroom support Man U. However the rest of the north is mostly a desolate wasteland with the odd dark satanic mill. Ireland is a foreign place. Populated by leprechauns and guinness swilling rugby men.
    Sky news, muppets.

    Lol, I hear ya!!

Hope ypu feel better soon Xx

Cheers all, and HAW I meant in the eyes of the newshounds of course not mine!!! I am quite open to there being more than my little acre!

My head still is suffering with residual pain from my Wednesday migraine and I am travelling on my own now next week as my colleague is having an operation at the end of the week and he needs to stay in the office to complete some work.

No ebay news to report and as yet no feted news of a free listing as that news is being told later and later. I have many, many items in my unsold folder, and I will perhaps manage to list the odd new one but I am away Sunday afternoon travelling to Reading and won’t worry unduly about that. Unfortunately due to illness I am now travelling alone as my colleague is having to have an emergency operation.

Work is persisting with getting in the way of life. A pleasant surprise is that a couple of old defaulted and nasty accounts have fallen off my credit file. I now need to reduce my credit card debt. I did try to apply for a 0% card but alas, I was unsuccessful. I will now need to wait 6 months before reapplying I suppose. Nothing has been paid off the totaliser today unfortunately but I am going to have to knuckle down and get on with it soon! I was hoping for a quick win with the loss of interest but I am sure I will get something soon. I just need to keep on with the scheme.

The weather remains mizzley. The mist is lifting from ground level to top of building level and then seems to settle back down again so we are still living with perpetual muddy feet! Silly dogs!

Moneywise, Not a lot to report. No sign of the housing benefit from the council but we think the earliest it will hit is tomorrow.

This month I will be 170 better off as I wont be paying out council tax. Its going straight to my most expensive debt and will help reduce interest too!

Keep going SBO. I fear that with ebay's changes in May to only 20 free listings per seller may well see the end of all the free listing weekends.

If you have stuff that does not appear to be selling on ebay, try setting-up an account on Ebid. Ok, it costs £50 for a seller+ account, but as you then pay no listing fees or FVFs, you can soon get back that £50 in what you don't pay in FVFs etc.

Strangely, I have found that some stuff that just will not sell on ebay sells 2nd-time of listing on Ebid (don't ask why as it is a mystery to me as well).
