Lost £92-due to bad Terravision bus service.

Hello!

I need help.
We had booked Terravision bus for today to take us to Stansted Airport so that we could take an EasyJet flight to Glasgow.
However, even after waiting for an hour (from 6:15 am to 7:15 am) at Bromley-by-bow tube station, neither of the two scheduled buses turned up. As a result, we missed our flight to Glasgow.

We informed Easyjet of the same and requested them to cancel our return flight (May 19 evening from Glasgow) but they have refused to do so. I have lost £92 (cost of EasyJet tkts) for no fault of mine.

What shall I do? Can you please help in getting my money back?

Thanks
Ashu

You are not going to get your money back. It has nothing to do with Easyjet that you didn't get to the airport

but surely the bus company are at fault for not providing the service?
:p It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt

How long did you wait for a bus?

    What time was your flight?

You are entitled to get your airport taxes back atleast.. If it was a cheap easyjet ticket you might find most of it is airport taxes anyway. :) You will need to apply to easyjet for the refund of these.

"Please note that the service will stop at Bromley By Bow upon specific request and ONLY if booked in advance." - from their website.

Did you have advance reservations? Looks like the driver forgot/wasn't told to collect you! You really need to claim off your travel insurance or Terravision, certainly not easyjets fault, though you are entitled to a refund of your taxes.

    Good luck!

Yes, I did have an advance reservation. Since I was to take the bus at 6:35 am, I was at the Bromley-by-Bow tube station at 6:20 am. But neither this bus came nor the one scheduled at 6:45 / 6:50 am. We waited for an hour. No bus turned up.

Can you please let me know the process for claiming refund of Airport taxes from EasyJet and tht how much time does it usually take?

    Thanks a lot!

I had an advance reservation for the bus at 6:35 am. Waited for an hour at the tube station, but the bus did not arrive.

My flight was at 8:05 am.

    Thanks

If you had travel insurance you can normally claim for missed departure due to failure of public transport

OTH that timing doesn't look sufficient to get to Stansted and check in. I don't think you'd have made the flight even if the bus had run and been on time.

    :money:

Unfortunately I did not have a Travel Insurnace. I wonder if my Barclays Credit Card provides travel insurance by default.

The tickets on TERRAVISION were booked in advance. There were no TERRAVISION buses that passed Bromley by bow at all as I recognise them and could not see any passing.

Is it possible that they did not run the trips as they might have been short of people.

Do I need to write to EASYJET headoffice or an emailid for the refund?

Thanks in advance for your help.
