Are scammersWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Clearly a scam. They texted me on a Sunday when their offices are closed re a parking fine on a car that was my wife's at the time quoted. I'd never owned it and so DVLA wouldn't have my name or in particular mobile number. Didn't pay, no sign of any bailiffs the next day.
It would have been so easy to pay up on Sunday to avoid any worry, and I bet plenty of people do. Outrageous.
I can track down where they got my details though. At the time of the supposed parking offence I was trying to sell the car on my wife's behalf and registered with a number of the 'we buy your car' websites to get an indicative price. Those are the only way my name, address, mobile number and that car reg would have been linked at that time.
So watch out if giving details to that sort of site. One of them is clearly selling on your info to a shady character.0 -
I had the same text yesterday. The date of offence was the very same day I agreed to sell the car in question to an internet advertised motor dealer who had my mobile number etc.0

on 191 directories it stated there was 171 businesses registered at the address. Would you believe it, our boys not one of them, although there are companies that would operate out of an office,
100% Scam
They maybe just virtual offices.
They work like PO Boxes. Business are registered there but all their mail is forwarded on another address.0 -
JCB. This is definitely a scam. Do not pay them under any circumstances. Must admit it does look quite convincing but several things do not stack up. My car had been SORN off road sat on my drive for months when the alleged offence took place. Also if you try and google this company other than their own website they don't exist.0

ive checked it all out, it does seem a scam, reported to police and fraud investigation. the address that they are claiming to be at has no companies under that name there, the website address i have been advised is a fraudulent one and the way they are asking to be paid is also 100% fraudulent0
