bethebee I treated my DGS Danny to the Siverstone experience for his 21st birthday and he absolutely loved it and phoned me on the way home last year and he was almost speechless with delight at his Ferrari day out.His exact words were 'Gran you have given me a memory that I'll tell my grandchildren about' which I thought was lovely :):)
Well after my whizzy-bizzy day yesterday I am going to have a relaxing 'pottering' around day today.I shall probably sort out the freezer and try to make a bit of room as I want to make a veggie curry and portion it up. Then probably relax and put my feet up and do some knitting and maybe watch some catch-up t.v.
Its going to be a lazy day until around 4.00.pm when I go to see my DD and my dgc at have dinner as usual at their house tonight.
The sun is shining at the moment and I have a small wash on just odds and ends, but rain is forecast later so I'll get it out on the line for a blow. The ironing of it can wait until another day though :):)
Hope everyone has a good relaxing day
    Cheers chums

p.s. I'm going to use some of my 'free' sweet potatoes in the curry as well ,hope I like them :):)

    Morning all, and welcome delurkers!
Its persisting down here, so the washing is on the airer, DD's boyfriend stayed last night, so he will create a load of towels to go in next if he follows his usual pattern!
Today, will climb mount ironmore at some point, oh the excitement of my life!!!
Need to rummage the freezer for my dinner, nobody else eating in, and take something out for tomorrow. Other than that, it will be a lazy day unless something crops up.
    Have a good day all!
    RIP Iain

Welcome to amancalledmartin and crowdpleaser - it's good on here.

Well, after all the hard work, the viewers were here for all of 15 minutes, said very little and left again! Still, we have a lovely clean and tidy house, even DDs room of doom is looking good (till she gets home from work!).

Nipped to Ald! this morning, it was so busy, can't remember the last time I went and didn't have to queue for ages at the checkout, used to be a quiet shop especially on a Sunday morning.

The weather has cheered up so 2 loads on the line, it's a bit iffy so will have to watch for the rain coming back but it's good and blowy so shouldn't take too long.

Not sure what to do with myself now apart from retrieve all the things I put away! Take care. XX

    Hi all

Many thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes.:o We were away overnight - Mr LW found a not-too-expensive hotel in Evesham that could cope with my wheelchair. We had a lovely time; food was really nice (a lot of it, but Mr LW helped me out:D) and we were lucky with the weather, and even managed a little trundle out by the river.:o

We got home a little before noon today - I drove part of the way back, first time I've driven for several months!

I'm completely exhausted now, of course; so taking it easy this afternoon. Mr LW has just sat and caught up with two taped episodes of Grimm, so I sat with him - I'm not a fan of TV at all, and if it was up to me, I'd get rid of the thing, but that's at least a programme I can sit through.:o

I need to make some sort of cake for Mr LW's lunch box; I think it may just be sultana and spice buns, which I can do on autopilot.:D

Oh, before I forget, Happy First Woofday to Skye.:bdaycake:

Have just made a pan of broccoli and stilton soup from the bottom of the fridge contents and a lump of forgotten stilton, so will have some for dinner, the rest is in tubs in the fridge for work lunches, still haven't looked at the ironing, but am off tomorrow if I cant face it later..........oh, and I have mothers recipe for peanut butter cookies at DD's request, so may make some later!
