Morning everyone
Good Luck to all those taking part in the London Marathon today - I hope it all goes off well and everyone stays safe and well x
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Bright blue sky, sunshine but don't know if we had a frosty start, as have only just woken up - but forecast is for a a sunny day here. Hester you do make me laugh - sounds like there might be some "hestering" going on in your house!! I think this glorious sunshine has something to do with it, the birds on the roof where I work are so frisky, they are being so noisy and it's a glass roof. I was serving some customers and 2 birds were being rather frisky and noisy directly above where we were sitting and they obviously got a bit carried away and the male fell off and they both rolled down the glass roof panel (it's a sloping glass roof) - really made myself and my customers laugh.
Dinner last night was chicken curry, rice and extras - was yummy and enjoyed by us all, today will be roast pork and all the trimmings.
Greenhouse all set up - just need to get the potatoes in today. Will go out and water once I've had a shower etc.
Need to crack on as still sat in my pjs at the moment.
Keep safe and well x

Lovely here but chilly , I managed to get the grass cut yesterday and hoovered up the leaves :j it was lovely,to get out in the garden for the 1st time this year, I weeded a couple of beds but more to do .
I'm watching the marathon now , I am always in awe of people that can run 26 miles. :T:T
I decide to paint the curtain pole in the bathroom to spruce it up a bit , I sanded it and painted it , left it outside to dry and its covered in flies  I ve had to resand it and paint it again ( I've left it inside this time )
Going to pot on some seedlings this afternoon , need to sort something for dinner too, will be having it later as dd2 is at work
Have a lovely day xx0 -
Morning all and welcome crowdpleaser. Best wishes to your MIL hilstep, I hope your hubby is ok with all the driving.
Lovely day again here today, I'll do a bit more gardening and get another couple of loads through the WM. DH is off to the opticians today and then he's taking DS2 to the country park. I'm making a peri peri chicken with salad and new pots today.
I think I might make a start on decluttering the garage today. Even if I go to the tip once it's a start. We have just thrown so much in there since we moved in. I'd love to make it into a decent storage area but we just throw everything in.0 -
Morning all.
Thought I'd pick today to stop lurking as well. Must be something in the air!
Still sunny here so hoping can get our bedding line-dried today. Just made a pudding with some leftover cake (highly unusual; don't know how leftover cake happened!). But it's an acceptable breakfast right?!
Off to church shortly and then am dram rehearsal this pm.
Have a lovely day one and all.0 -
Hello everyone, especially those who are de-lurking !
Lovely and sunny this morning. Managed to get some garden work done yesterday afternoon.
I also managed to finish my photo sorting project, and also took the opportunity to weed out a load of old papers that aren't needed. So now I've going to put the thinnedout boxes back in the loft, so the house will look tidier. OH will be dealing with the scanning of old slides on to an SD card. My next big project will be selling our old LPs on eBay, but I'm giving myself a few weeks before I start on that.
Today there's a bit of eBay listing to do, some packing and more ironing.

Morning all,
Welcome to the newbies:wave:amancalledmartin and crowd pleaser you will love it.
Have just wrote a list on my phone of things I want to do.
Need to get ready for tomorrow. I have an interview but as you may remember I'm waiting for an op on my leg. Think I'm going to go along and hope they understand that once I've had my op I will be back to normal, fingers crossed.
I need to sort out my summer clothes as well. We are in the middle of doing the downstairs loo, and have a few home projects on the go.
Sorry my minds all over the place this morning. I also want to get back to healthy eating.
nmlc the bird thing is funny, we have two huge wood pigeons that nest in our garden, in the lilandi its not very big and when they get jiggy with it the greet bends like a bow, its so funny, we always watch them flying backwards and forwards building their nest. They are both so fat, dh always feeds the birds:)
Oh and I'm crocheting squares which I'm enjoying[IMG][/img]
I've done four now, and can do them without following a pattern, hurray. I also want to do some plain ones and then stitch them all together.

Morning all,
Been away up in Abingdon since Thursday and got home y/day. DH enjoyed his driving a Ferrari around Silverstone experience.
BARGAINBIRD, I  to you in Cheiveley, did you see me ?
Got home to find the place in a right mess, things knocked over, pictures wonky, loads of soot and bird poo everywhere. I went upstairs and there was a huge crow in 1 of the bedrooms. It must have come down the chimney, crows have been building a nest in the inglenook on a ledge for ages, I've been lighting a fire to get rid of them but as we wern't here they've returned. I managed to shut it in a bedroom then opened a window and it flew out. DH said he was very proud of me to tackle the beast of a bird, it was huge. DH stayed downstairs, the wuss!! :rotfl:
I've got to wash loads of bedding and cushions to wash now, I cleaned the mess on the carpets y/day and scrubbed everything in the kitchen and bathrooms. I used the steam cleaner on the curtains that had poo on them as I don't want the expense of drycleaning. TTFTM Like you I love my steamer too. God knows how 1 bird can leave so much mess.
Pulled hm beef curry & rice out of the freezer for dinner last night and some cooked lamb & gravy for DH's roast dinner today. I'm having fish & salad.
Haven't caught up with every post but sorry to hear some sad news from
(((( RAGE IN EDEN ))))
Have a good day all.
