Like I said before, the network useability is entirely dependent on where you will be using the mobile predominantly, i.e. work (home usually involves using your own wifi anyway). If you travel in the UK extensively then I agree EE is the better option. Having said that, Vodafone has improved markedly for me since they started sharing data masts with 02.
Agreed if you actually used 400Mb per month but it would be fast and reliable in comparison to Vodafonica's pathetic patchy coverage at present, which they say will be improved by the end of 2015.
You could buy a bundle giving 200Mb for £3 or 500Mb for £5 if you needed more data that month.
They really are still playing catch up. When checking their coverage in many places it either states "Mobile Internet 3G - Sorry we do not have coverage here" or "Slow speed - Using a laptop or tablet here to access the internet will be slow and isn’t recommended"
See future coverage reports "Sorry – there are no upgrades planned in the next 12 months that will improve the coverage here"
Obviously it depends on an individuals requirements but a smartphone that is either very slow or unusable due to lack of coverage is not worth carrying! Vodafonica will be installing 4G equipment before they have good 3G coverage like the other operators currently have now. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
