I'd recommended Chillblast (I'm not connected with them, just a happy customer) - http://www.chillblast.com/ they have been getting rave reviews in the tech press for the past few years, I upgraded one of our key development machines to a Fusion Whisper last year and it's incredibly fast and stable.
Lots of good reviews on http://www.pcpro.co.uk/ and other mag sites.

While I'm sure any of these will meet your needs, which one are you referring to? Questions to ask are does it come with an operating system, what is the warranty.
I'd personnally avoid the "Celeron" procesor and why not buy one with the ram and graphics card that you require?

Please don't confuse the 'new' Celerons with those of yesteryear.

IMO nothing wrong with a Celeron for a bit of non demanding PC use, exactly what the OP wants.
    Move along, nothing to see.

pc's should never run slow after a reinstall, especially under 5 years old. Slowness is usually caused by software added afterwards.

if it doesn't have an unused onboard graphics card which you could plug into, a new card costs very little.

personally I'd avoid a "specialist" pc builder and go for a well known brand http://www.dmxdimension.com/dell-uk/inspiron-660-deals/

Re. celeron - apparently the new ones are ok (see posts above). My mistake.
NB. the Chillblast Fusion Python doesn't have an OS.
  • i already have an OS, i bought a new one to try and "fix" the slow running issues on my broken pc.....turned out that wasnt the problem anyway so if i can get a PC cheaper because it doesnt have an OS that's better!
