Because I know how expensive 'expensive lawyers' really are, and I know the firm that Jack is using (he's mentioned it - and the cost, as I recall) and it may be expensive by MSE standards, but not by the real world standards.

Well they've cost me £5000 so far and a long way to go.... but yeah I know it could be a lot more and will be. They estimated between £8k and £16K in their fees.

But nobody has told him to *cut off all money*. You're exaggerating and embellishing what people are saying to put across a contrary viewpoint. How about just sticking to the facts? You might find people a bit more in agreement with you if you did.

He doesn't need to use his whole salary - he can still rent a small flat while keeping up his previous financial commitments.

No he can't. It was made clear earlier in the thread that if he handed over what she was asking for, he wouldn't be able to.

Eh? Where did you get that from? Total fabrication.

Given the difficulties JackRS is experiencing at the moment just getting some sleep, I suggest that the last thing he needs right now is an on-line spat on this thread.

He needs speak to his GP again and maybe ask for a letter detailing the number of visits he has made in the past few months and why that he can take to court.

Frankly with that amount of sleep, I am surprised he can function at work.

You must live in a different world to mine then if you think Jack's wife is living on the breadline.

And where have I said that? Please quote.

If I can work out that kelpie has misunderstood your comment about the cost of lawyer not being that expensive, then I am sure Mr super lawyer Treevo has already worked it out.

Not completely true given that he did it for six months before this thread.

He lived in a bedsit. Not a one bed flat.
