    (((Hugs to you Rage)))

Well the guys came to do my cavity wall insulation and ive just sent them away again.

I signed the form for Poly Beads. I want Poly beads. No i dont want fibre filling. No i dont want Rockwool filling.

I want what i signed for. I'm so hacked off now. I wanted to walk naked round the house this evening with no heating on (joke).

If i'd accepted anything less than Poly beads i wouldnt have heard the last of it.:(

Bahh burned the gammon. Playing music i didnt hear the timer. Burned offerings anyone?:D

    Hi all

Well, I've managed to get here a tad earlier than yesterday but still not very good.

Hoppy Birdday Hilstep  Have a lovely day.

I read this quote this morning:

'Every man is a volume if you know how to read him'.

I have to say, i think i'm deaf as well as blind :(
Dogs I can read easily, for the most part.:o Human beings remain a total mystery to me.:(

Bah - there were other things I was going to reply to, but they've totally vacated my head.:( I think I'm just over-tired; at least I hope that's all it is.

Only another 24 hours til Mary is collected - I shan't miss the newspaper carpet, or the constant Canine Hokey-Cokey, but I shall definitely miss the little lass; she's one of the nicest natured dogs I've ever come across, doesn't even mind Mr LW scooping her out of her bed and putting her outside for her early-morning wee.:o I feel privileged to have had the chance to get to know her.:o

I washed the bathroom mats early this morning, and with the wind we've had, they're already dry and back down on the floor.:T

Easy dins tonight - HM nut loaf (from the freezer) with sweet'n'sour rice. I can do the sweet'n'sour sauce with my eyes shut, and it's something that's straight-forward to do with a small dog in the same room.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I'm having a day off work, and so far haven't done a great deal. OS things so far, tidied the kitchen (not quite completely), made baba ganouch for lunch from half an aubergine left over, used up the pitta bread from yesterday.

Some shopping for the next week done. Previously cooked a gammon and leek pie so that's for tea.

Things left to do, make some bread, prep the veg for dinner and watch TV!

At the moment watching TV is winning.

Havent got a clue. The paperwork i have said poly beads, the paperwork the contractors had said poly beads but the office sent a truck full of Rockwool. It was only when i questioned the beads that they fill the wall with that they looked at me as though i'd got two heads. On reading their faces i asked them to confirm they were pumping poly beads into my cavity (sounds rude... Hester where are you love? lol).

Oh dear, my poor gammon. I wonder if i cover it with a thick cheese sauce 'Youngest' will notice?:o

Youngest daughter has been down to see my Mum. I am grateful she went but thinking about her causes me such pain.

Popped back in and have now read the thread and Happy Birthday Hillstep :bdaycake:

Very windy here last night - in fact 11 pm saw me in the porch sellotaping string across from the wooden door surround to the brickwork to keep the willow twigs secure. Shoved them in the corner with the hyacinths infront. Lord knows what passing cars thought - probably "oh it's that mad woman again" :rotfl:Wind continues today and we've had on and off hailstone showers. Nice. I hope they stop for later as OH is collecting Bobby and Derek who have been "cleared for release" from the avian vets on his way home from work. Not ALL the blood tests are back yet (they are hoping they will be by 5 pm) but OH will be seeing the nurse and getting the results. No doubt this will mean I have to ring up tomorrow as I never get the full/correct tale. Still it will be lovely to have them back - I've been really worried all day. I fully expect there to be medication involved as well..... poor little thing... I am planning to do nothing tonight as I had a rather large lunch so might just have a snack later and only so I can take my own tablets. Just crack on with the sampler and catch up on Broadchurch..... that is FAB....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Afternoon all
Hugs to Molly, PP, Jools, Hilly & LW, sorry things aren't going well Topsy.
Work was calmer today, though we did have a compound fracture & a punch up, not connected, I didn't get involved with the fracture, apart from getting the blood cleaned up. But I was far too involved in the punch up for my liking, struggling to control 12 lads, most nearly 6 ft. It took ages to sort out, as it took 10 mins for any teaching staff to turn up, by which time it was all over, typical.
More cushion making for me now.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
