No I haven't. How much bicarb do I use?

    Thanks for your reply.

No problem, but sorry for the delay! Umm, I don't measure it, about a teaspoon full I guess... I sprinkle it into the wet pan, & leave for a bit while I do other stuff, then use a soapy scourer, usually the same 1 I've been washing up the other stuff with, & just keep scrubbing...

Bar keepers friend is also very good, but I can't always get it, & I always have bicarb. Not tried coke as we don't drink it at home.

Couple of tbsp of washing soda, fill to the top with boiling water, slap on the lid and forget about it til the next day. Will swish off in the washing up then.

GF - who did the same exact thing last week :D

Or why not try bio washing powder - put a spoonful into your pan, fill with hot water and leave overnight.

And next time, take the label off ;):D

i've merged this with our burnt pan thread. I realise it's not quite a burnt pan, but the principle is the same so you should find heaps of ideas in here.

So lt us know what works

  • Any ideas?

    Thank you.
  • Biological washing liquid and hot water, leave for a couple of hours (or overnight) and it should all just rinse away :)
The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.
  • Try soda crystals in warm water leave overnight
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

  • Washing powder and hot water and bung it back on the hob for a few minutes. Doesn't need to be washing liquid powder will work fine
