Should I complain or see as a compliment.........

I'm wondering how you came across it ......are you looking to move again so soon too ?
It's in the original post ...We sold our house 18months ago after 2years on the market.
I am still in contact with my old neighbour and she had said it had just gone back up for sale, been waiting for it appearing on rightmove, and alas it is there today.
Only 4 photos, 3 of which are the ones that were taken when I owned the house.
Do I have grounds for a complaint or see the funny side and take it as a compliment?0 -
Personally I'd not bother. Obviously the agent felt it better to use more attractive pictures than pictures taken in it's current state.
Presume the agent is mis-advertising. A complaint could be made on those grounds, but tbh why bother. People who go to view will be disappointed, so I'm sure new photos will follow.0 -
Take it as a compliment. It's the potential buyers who go to see the property who may have grounds for complaint if the pictures don't represent the current state of the house.0

Of all the issues we see posted on this forum, this takes the biscuit!0

Honestly you must have more important things going on in your life than worrying about what's happening to your old house. Why do you care? Do something constructive with your life and leave your buyers to get on with theirs.0

I wouldn't see it as a complaint or compliment. It has no bearing on anything at all and I just wouldn't care less.0

A similar thing happened to me recently. I sold my flat a few years back to an investor and saw it come up again for rent in the local paper. Out of interest, I went on Right Move to take a look at the new pictures, just to see what it's like now.
I got quite a shock to see the pictures I took and passed to the EA. It felt like an invasion of my privacy to see all my furniture and stuff in the advert.
However, once I thought a bit more about it, I just let it go. It may be my stuff, but it's out of context as it's no longer my home. I imagine the EA used them because they were excellent and showed the flat off very well. Equally, maybe they have had some staff turnover and the person who uploaded the photograghs didn't know about me.
Either way, I liked both my EA and my buyer very much and if my photographs help them let the flat, good luck to them.
I would only have had a problem if you could clearly make out family photograpghs or pictures, of which I had none. If this was the case I wouldn't see it as making a complaint, just a quick phonecall to the EA to request that they retake the pictures. I'm sure they'd understand.
Ultimately, SandC is spot on. It's a compliment to you, although it may cause a problem for a potential viewer. For all I know, my old flat could be hacked to pieces by now, far removed from the little show home I left behind.0 -

I'm sorry but do something constructive with my life? You know nothing about me, there is no need for personal attack, I mearly wanted an independent opinion.
I agree in the heat of the moment, complaining may be a step to far, but I took those photos, so believed that the documents I'd signed when agreeing to those photos being published in the marketing of MY house could only be used during the sale of the property when I was the owner not somebody else, four years down the line.0 -

OK that's fair enough - surely the point is though, how is harming you/how are you losing out as a result?
If it really bothers you give them a call about it.0 -
