Here here CTP
Cor feel like I'm in the houses of commons saying that. :rotfl:
It really gets my goat to put it politely:rotfl:
Its like when an SA says you cant use that its not picturedon a b+t coupon where does it say only products pictured it says any:mad:
Or on healthcare does it say excluding this or that
I can only feel sorry for the SA's its not their fault really poor training and bad management0 -
Don't get me wrong - each to their own - but you do consistently seem to put the 'illegal' couponers (Somerfield £5 Whisky etc) and 'legal' Tesco combies in different boats - IMHO each are breaking if not the rules then the spirit of Tesco coupon policy.
Every Tesco coupon under its T&Cs has 'Only one coupon per transaction'....
I think that the serial Tesco combie Dude has the same chance as the illegal couponers of being rumbled by Dundee or locally and the potential consequences with CC points...
But - like I said - each to their own!
Duder
Hiya Dude,
Yes I know that lots of people are still using Somerfield vouchers etc at Tesco, but I think there is a difference between using these 'illegal' ones and multiple-using Tescos own ones.
I agree with Leadhead's view a few posts back. Tesco have already budgeted for expected use of their own coupons, the fact that some of us use them in multiples just means that we are having our shopping subsidised by the thousands of Tesco shoppers who use just one, or even none.
Loads of shoppers buy H&B products every time they shop at Tesco, but how many walk past the Quit smoking packs not realising the 'treasure' in those envelopes? Most people, IMHO. I have had to point the envelopes out to friends and they all say, 'yes I saw them but I don't smoke'...... So in the grand scheme of things, our multiple-use does not get noticed, I am sure, at most stores except in one-off situations at the CS desk or with a nosey till Supervisor.
Basically I would like couponing to last longer than R&R did for me (I got less than a year out of R&Ring, great fun while it lasted though!). My simplistic view is this:
a) If the tills have lots of legit Tesco coupons in them, and some redeemable, in-date manufacturers' coupons - 'fine' thinks the average Store Manager - and as for us humble couponers, we live to multi-coupon another day. BUT
b) If the tills have lots of Somerfield, Asda mag, Nicotinell and well OOD coupons in, consistently in one store - that's NOT fine (and there's a danger that store may change its lax attitude to accepting coupons). There's even a danger of a national policy change in the long run, as happened with R&R.
Each to their own though Dude, maybe we'll agree to differ on this one?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ARGH!! about these clothes vouchers that work on anything! I havent checked this particular thread for a few days and didnt know about them.
I went to a tesco a bit out of the way for me today and there was a huge pile on the CS desk which I was stood by for a good 5 mins while exchanging! I looked at them and thought its a shame there arent any more clothes ones about at the moment, but I grabbed a handful anyway, not realising they expire tomorrow. Will have to pop down tomorrow after work and see if I can use a few.
Patty, fancy a little trip out? :rotfl:
By the by, I finally managed to find a lovely CS lady who said 'unfortunately without a reciept, you can only exchange your (free) clothes for non-food items', obviously not knowing thats exactly what I wanted to hear! Managed to get some bits, magazines, toys etc but I still had 17p to spend, she said dont worry about it and gave me 17p out of the till, which has got to be my most profitable shop to date
Although - STILL havent managed to find my suitcase from the magazine yet!Reclaiming for family and friends. Won 4/13 so farHSBC CC - £263.25, Halifax CC - £179.45, HFC PPI - £589.00, HSBC PPI - £498.86, Lloyds PPI 1 - £4000 -
A security cordon, snipers on my office roof, marching bands and the Royal Family visiting the building next door meant I could not get my car out of the car park to tesco.
I am hoping to visit tomorrow and use some vouchers

INSERT CATCHY PHRASE HERE0 -
It's a super coupon, get them instore on an A5 flyer with pic of a glamouous chic looking trendy by the coast, possibly Clacton. Titled 'Fantastic Savings on cothing.'
Best thing about it is that once coupon is detached it's not that clear that it's for clothing. Says in bold '£6 off when you spend £30 or more', which seems to be as far as the SAs bother to read. Should they read the smallprint then yes it's obviously for clothing.
Simply scans as a £6 note and you can use as many as you can get away with.
Downside is that Mr T will end up with 1,000s and should they look a little harder notice that spends of over £50 are coming down to next to nothing with no spend on clothing. Could be the coupon equivelant of the xbox 360 that initiated the downfall of the lamented R&R.Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0 -
