Ooh and a quick question - my tesco's all demand a clubcard to take any coupons, even when i say they are not clubcard ones. I really dont wanna use mine much as dont want to get into trouble, but have had to a couple of times on a coupon/refund - do you guys think i will get caught

Just get a paper temporary clubcard & hand that over instead of your real one. Don't register it obviously. I use one for a week or so then chuck it. ;)

I only use my real clubcard when using points vouchers.

Someone mentioned that the £6 new clothing one is scanning on anything. I used one today on a £6.10 shop and it scanned fine so you don't even need to spend £30 to use it.

 aarrggh what a waste  its not fair i waant some noooow:mad: (sorry jealous rant over):o :o

what mm says works but no tesco has the right to demand a cc. the only coupons that will not work without a cc are extra points.even though you don't want to draw attention to yourself i would complain at cs. a cc is an option not necessary.this is def NOT tesco policy.

Its a difficult one cos you dont wanna kick up cos then they wont take the coupons! Or worse still - you get remembered and noticed too much!

Just pick one up in store to use, don't bother to register it just give them the cardboard bit.

I always use my clubcard and loads of coupons, it's up to them if they accept them or not, I am not doing anything wrong. I do not use coupons for other stores or out of date coupons, only legitimate ones.

Me too Harriet, I have never found a problem using lots and lots of coupons with my clubcard. I don't use Somerfield ones or out of date ones (unless by a couple of days max which makes no difference for redemption by the Supermarket).

If you're using good coupons and they scan lots, how would that affect your points? The 2 things are separate and, as you say, we are doing nothing wrong even when combining H&B or clothing ones (IMHO Tesco could set the tills to only accept one of each type of their own....but they don't).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Don't get me wrong - each to their own - but you do consistently seem to put the 'illegal' couponers (Somerfield £5 Whisky etc) and 'legal' Tesco combies in different boats - IMHO each are breaking if not the rules then the spirit of Tesco coupon policy.

Every Tesco coupon under its T&Cs has 'Only one coupon per transaction'....

I think that the serial Tesco combie Dude has the same chance as the illegal couponers of being rumbled by Dundee or locally and the potential consequences with CC points...

But - like I said - each to their own!

Sorry, tried to catch up on the thread after being away, but can't find info, has something serious happened to people using CC's being excessive couponers?

All the staff in my store have had a meeting apparently, I've been pulled on the last 3 occasions as the cashiers had to call for supervision as were unsure what they could take. I have been obiding by the rules in that store that the first kind manager said to me 1 of each different H&B coupon. Not money off other shopping but still free toiletries so will just be grateful for that.

Hold my hands up to being a coupon abuser (Tesco ones only), thanks to knowledge I have gained, but it is not down to the customer to know what the till takes & what is allowed. If the cashier has not been informed (which we don't want) it is not their fault neither.

I'm in search of a different store that is more lenient.

Has anyone used the out of date blues successfully yet?
Thinking of waiting for the new couponns 10, 7 & 5's are produced hopefully before the £6.00 qps expire for combination, maximum saving.

    Thanks
