  • Still had a few vouchers and decided to take my poor 20 month daughter home as she was fed up and left her with dh while I went to a bigger tesco. Thought I had covered my shop with a few quid over just in case but a pair of socks were reduced from £3 to 75p so I was 25p under the threshold for the new £7.... damn them for reducing things when we don't actually want them to!!!!! young lad was p*ssed off cos he had to work when the footie was on and gladly put all my coupons through... so ended up with £46 off a £63 shop. cos of the bonus £15 on the first refund I didn't mind so much.

All in all a good first go. Thanks for all the advice :) Looking forward to some more coupons :)[/QUOTE]

one idea 4 u pick up a few always needed things(socks tights undies etc) keep to one side watch things as they go threw till if they get reduced add to your pile with reserves if all ok just say sorry changed my mind bout these or some other excuse that way you are covered if something gets reduced more than you bargined for

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but if any of you got the olay face mask from the freebies thread, well theres also a £3 voucher and it scans at Tescos if the S.A takes it:)

have you tried it in tesco at a manned till or self scan?

My man was on today so I did a £35 clothes shop, unfortunatley he scanned a t-shirt twice but because the socks I bought to make up £35 were reduced and I didn't know, it actually meant the coupons were then accepted, so although Im a shirt down I managed to get all my coupons accepted, so £49 shop down to £21, not bad.

Thanks leadhead. Was just glad to have got the deal and hot-footed it out of there, but will definatley remember their faces for next time!!! Hopefully there will be a next time (soon), I'm hooked. Hubby's a bit worried that I'm addicted to this site though. Can't sleep for thinking about coupons, points etc... he's seen it all before, when I discovered the Boots thread!!! He's an addictions counsellor so that worries me even more, cos he really know the signs :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Blooming heck mamamoi.....hope he cant see the degree of addiction by reading peoples posts..................he'll have loads of new clients.......

Its certainly more addictive than Boots(ive been told), as we usually get it free, and also money off other shopping......

I often get a churning in the stomach, butterflies, suffer withdrawal symptoms, highs when successful, downers when i fail....

Havent tried to fly, or see if cars bounce off me in the street..........yet

    Addendum RETURNS

Shock horror when i found that some (6 pair)of the £15 Jeans i still had left had been reduced to £7.50.....found 3 x 20 couponed receipts....folded in half, stapled, tore from end of clothes(i always put clothes on first) accross...also taking off all coupon evidence....handing in with Jeans, saying, "rescued this from bin"..."you dont want to see what the other bit had on it"......money back ....no problem(x3)...

    Might go back when sale starts, buy 4 pair (£30)- 20% = £24 - 3 x £6 coupons(1 quit, 2 blue) = £6, minus any mocs they accept....

Didnt do any HandB shops today, have about 100 £2 ones left, but only 20+ quits, so keeping them until the offers change and I get some SB ones...none in 4 stores this morning....but they cant hide them all week.........can they..............??

What is the £10 Nivea coupon and where can we get one?
    Mary

my little coupon boy said they had all had a meeting about vouchers and that they are only allowed to take 30% on clothes, I said okay, I thought drat i have two lots here! put through 62 pounds worth adults/kids, using vouchers i paid 35, 2 nd time decided to split adults from kids adults was 38 down to 13, kids was 39 down to 16- that included 10 pounds of nivea suncream of which i used 10 pound nivea coupon to pay so they were free. overall 127 for 64, i then returned a pair of trousers for 15 pounds so total spend 49. Far from my best but could have been worse and i needed what i got today so very happy.

I only did one £35 adult clothing shop today because the coupons did not seem to scan. I got a lovely till girl who I have been trying to go to each saturday/Sunday so it was not her problem. She also tried hand scanning them but no joy and then she did some other magic and got them to go through. There were a yellow one and the £6 from the new Quit one so all the coupons were in date and I had spent over the necessary ammounts. I put clothing through first so it is easy to check the till roll that I have bought the correct items.

Has anyone else had this today? I had already been to the CS as I went in and he was lovely but I didnt want to have to go to him again if the coupo0ns had not gone through.

I am having a tesco free day today, just time to reflect, to plan and to count my vouchers. In my emergency (voucher) kit in my car (never mind a spare petrol can or spare tyre or emergency torch) I found my some lovely DM £4 vouchers and others which I had forgotten about.

I said to Mr Welshy if he got the 2 tags off my clothing I would be eternally grateful, it was surprsingly easy and he took it apart to show me the coil inside etc. I was pleased I didn't have to go to CS and ask them to do it.
