I am still waiting weeks later for the missing hayfever tablets to be delivered from my order - the packing note said they were included - the order had clearly not been "quality checked" as it had said on the packing note. I feel completley ripped off by chemist4U - i started a "ticket" apparently its the way you report a problem with them - i asked for the missing tablets to be sent to me rather than a refund - they have not even had the decency to reply. The ticket has now EXPIRED with no response from them so i can start another one!!!! NEVER NEVER will i use someone with such bad customer service again. Arghhh!

My hayfever symptoms used to last around 9 months every year (and kick off my dust and pet allergy too) but I started using light therapy about 3 years ago and the change is nothing short of miraculous!

I now only have to use it twice a day (morning and night) to keep my symptoms at bay - I can even mow the lawn whereas before I was hiding indoors for most of the year.

I know it sees wacky, and it looks odd, and I have no idea how it works, I only know it does for me and my brother used it for one summer and hasn't had any hayfever symptoms for 2 seasons now!

At £7.99, it's got to be worth a try.

  • Mainly aimed at Sam_26, but going thru the website chemist 4 u and trying to order these tablets, it does present you with a questionnaire to obtain the tablets as stated within the article. However, what seems to be missing is the security on the actual page (Not SSL) that is requiring this when asking for name and date of birth. If you carry on it then asks you to fill out and submit your address over http as well.

Just because it is cheap - at what cost is it you to you that you are sending your details out on to the net unencrypted?

Apologies this is first post - and probably dismissed by some due to that - but long time reading these posts/forums and articles and felt strongly enough to contribute to this one.

I used to buy Cetirizine and/or Loratadine for my hayfever which worked ok for a while but then gradually stopped. I also used to use nasal sprays and eye drops at the same time.

When these tablets had no effect (and where I started taking 3 or 4 a day) I went to my doctor and was prescribed 60mg fexofenadine hydrochloride tablets. They worked for a while then I gradually moved up to 120mg and now on 180mg as they began to stop working!! I managed to get 60 tablets on 1 prescription instead of the normal 30 but it seems as though they have now also stopped working.

Is it possible for your body to become immune to medication where it no longer works because it seems as though this is the case? I had asked my doctor for the 'magic' injection inbetween moving from 120 to 180mg of the current tablets but he was rather reluctant.

I have also tried eating a spoonful of honey in the morning which is supposed to soothe and coat the throat but even that has stopped working. Gonna try some 'locally produced' honey next as I have been told this is better again!

I have a vitamin D deficiency so have been taking a 1000 I.U tablet (500% RDA) a day but I think that they might be working against each other somehow because I've used the 180mg tablet for 2/3yrs now without a problem so have stopped taking it at the same time to see if that helps.

The Chemist 4 U website looks well dodgy, asks you to enter confidential information during registration on an insecure unencrypted connection. Wouldn't trust any site that doesn't know the basics of web security.

Pizza the problem is more likely to be the base as the cheese for most people. If you choose to avoid dairy you must replace the missing minerals with a bioavailable source, it's wise to discuss this with a doctor or dietician before randomly eliminating food groups.
    Hello Firefox
Waited until full on hayfever season and ate dairy free pizza .... no sneezing or itches, looks like I can eat pizza base but not the cheese usually covering it. Have discovered I can eat buffalo mozzarella ? Not sure why. Very pleased not to be taking all those awful hayfever medicines and eat a balanced diet encorporating all those lovely minerals. Many thanks for your reply.

Welcome, I wouldn't worry about your first post being dismissed. Sadly, many are, but when you get a poster who signs up just to praise a company with whom everyone else in the thread has had problems, I hope you can understand peoples' scepticism.

But everythingProject did the opposite of that, right?
