You didn't! You went to Colchester anyway, in spite of being so ill! Naughty Pania! :rotfl: I totally understand what you mean about the dog training, even tho I'm a cat person. I love all animals - I'm the sort of person that stops on the pavement to pick up a worm with a twig and put it somewhere safe. And when you communicate with an animal, really do, its the most satisfying thing in the world.
I've certainly communicated with cats, especially my own, but when I was at college, studying physical anthropology, we went to London Zoo, to the Primate House, and I ended up communicating with a pair of juvenile orang utans. I squatted down, pretended to chew, and just stayed there, not looking at them. Eventually, one of them came right to the other side of the glass, 3 inches from me, and gave me the ball of grass and mud he was chewing on - put it on the windowsill right by my hand. I pretended to pick it up and chew it, and put it down again. Then he came and collected it. I've never, ever forgotten that moment.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
sorry Karma. just didn't feel like i could let the woman down again, ooooh hell am i paying for it now!!
I know exactly what you mean about how it feels when you make a connection. it makes you feel asthough you have crossed a bridge it's amazing. that was a very special experience, no wonder you have never forgotten it. I used to be able to get my 2 dogs to lie sit or stand by changing my body posture, they knew what each one meant it was so wierd! did you enjoy your course? sounds great. and LOL at the worms, me to!!!!debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0 -

That is what really hacks me off about some of the other boards, u ask a perfectly reasonable question and u get shot down in flames or, worse still, completely ignored!!! I have learned that lesson, and now post all my question here first, and only go elsewhere if advised to by the DFWs!
I know u should pay off debts before savings yadda yadda yadda...... but u also should try not to get into debt for Christmas, and as far as I can see, there is NOTHING WRONG AT ALL with saving a bit monthly for Xmas.... I'm not sure, but I suspect people like CCCS/Payplan etc actively encourage it!
I am in debt, and trying hard to pay it off, but I am also saving for Xmas/BDays etc because I do not want to get further into debt to pay for Xmas prezzies.
Stay here with the nice people P

Edit: To all of you people on the other boards who ARE helpful (there are probably more of you than not), this is not meant for you. I have had some good advice from other boards too...'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Ooh, p, just catching up on the last day or so. Good news on the dog training - you can "easily" get that money together......get listing those manky shoes!
As for the investments board - do they actually have a clue about real life? Possibly not. Maybe they have never been in debt, and almost certainly not with "problem" debts so don't understand the pros and cons of saving to pay off full and finals, or to actually try and budget so you can get yourself out of this pickle and live a "normal" life!
So, big hugs coming your way, stick with us, mate........and as for the £50......don't forget DP will be getting cold soon and might need a new blanket
Coffee tomorrow on the way home from my interview? Will ring as I leave the place, just to make sure it is still ok. Hi P.
Sorry you are/have been ill - I hope you are on the mend very soon.
The dog training sounds wicked! Oh to be in a job that doesn't feel like a job!
Bah - sorry that you got flamed by people who haven't got the class to treat you with a bit more patience and respect for asking simple questions. Sometimes you'd think having debt is a hanging offence.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi P - rant on babes! Yes, technically it is 'inefficient' to save when you have debts, but what 'they' tend to forget is that it helps having money to spend to hand.
Grrrr, for example, there are plenty of tales on here of people over-paying on their credit cards and then their credit limit being automatically lowered. No way of getting that back.
I don't have any ISAs but I do keep a float, just in case I need to have some cash.
Anyway, all I know about ISAs is that you can put in 3K in total per year (going up next year) to any ISA, but you can't use more than that 3K allocation e.g. if you put in £1K, take it out, put it in again, then that counts as £2K of ISA allowance. You can transfer ISAs between providers.
Ok, I do know the odd thing or two about financial products
