ooooh my gosh my golly, has been eons since i last updated my thread, slap ont wrist for pania!
Well i though tit about high time i had a bit of an update on life love and the world in general really rather than just thread hijacking everyone else!:o
so, my debt has increased, darn it, not through anything bad like blowing it on a load of shopping or going on a trip to blue water but I decided eventually to go for the extension to the welcome loan. They would only extend it by £470 in the end but that was perfectly sufficient in the end for what i needed.
With it i A) CLeared the backlog of my mobile phone bill and got that up to datecancelled my £120 overdraft at my bank so am now permanently in the black
C) bought a tank of petrol:o
and left the rest as a float in my acount to make preceeding months a little easier.
The other increase is a training debt that is now being enforced by my prevous company. They basically put a clause into my contract that if i was to leave before 2 years was up i'd have to pay them back the costs for my exams etc. (albeit i am paying them back £1800 and my exams cost in total £700 grrrr) again previously i was saving the money to go towards it so managed to pay a small lump off it to start with but have agreed a regular £50 per month interest free towards the debt, to be pverpiad when poss. Included in snowball so shouldn't be too bad
I am today going to make my first overpayment, all be it only £10 it is the first one i've been able to make and i'm dead chuffed. now thing is which debt to knock it off? or do it keep it in a tin somewhere so i can add it onto a payment at the end of the month?
I have a bit of a quandry though. With my nationwide credit card, I have not had ANY correspondance from nationwide for a year with regards to this debt and am simply saving the £24 per month agreed payment in case some DCA comes a knocking. SO what should i do? do i contact nationwide CC dept and ask them why they stopped taking the payment and where the debt has gone or do i keep shtum in the hopes that it's evaporated?Help you lovely DFW'ers help!!
I'm hoping that my salary at the end of september will give me enough to be able to pay off mr provi man in full (I didn't do it earlier as it was a different guy who wouldn't offer me any discount at all, my original guy is back and will:j ) and i think that i can up my payments each month hence the reduced DFD!! woohoo!!
DP is getting along absolutely fine but is as fat as butter at the moment. I really should grab more time with him. I can't wait for the new arrival to the pania household!!! OH was very cagey about my birthday pressie yesterday, until we went out for a meal in the evening, He presented me with a beautiful pair of earrings and the romise of a springel spaniel pup when we move house next month or the month after. I have wanted a dog for soooooo long and it will certainly complete my life for now. I've done exams in canine psychology and would love to do training and agility in my spare time. This may well give me the opportunity to do so!
We are moving to rent a bigger house as this one is just so tiny! Although there will be a slightly increased cost OH's best mate is going to move in with us so that will pay the extra and then some. we need to stay local so i guess the house hunting will be pretty much where we are now. watch this space on that one!!
Right anyway i think thats enough to be getting on with i need to get myself prepared for work, we have a big launch over the next two days so hopefully that should be good for business but boyo is it going to be a busy one!!!
Hugs

:hello: Good to see you're updating your diary - wondered what had happened to you. Sounds like we are in a similar position with debt increasing, but I suppose it is sometimes two steps forwards one step back? Will catch up soon x0

Hey pania
you sound bouncy Those birthday celebrations must have done you good, in spite of the scary Alton Towers thingy hanging upside down. Keep on enjoying!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Pania
Very glad to see your update full of good news - sounds as if there are lots of things moving in the right direction and lovely news about the puppy. Hope DP doesn't get jealous!
Happy birthday for yesterday, 30 is a great age to be. I well remember how old it feels at the time but honestly, you're still a spring chicken.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
No I didn't get your pm - thought it wasn't like you but then you do tend to lose things you post
Mortgage is going through at the end of the month, will be a little but more than we thought because of the penalty on the 2nd charge but as of 1st October I will have mortgage in one place and all 0% interest credit cards :j
Am currently thinking over signing up for a OU course - want to do creative writing, it is £125 and I am pretty sure I could raise the money via ebay etc but I need to sign up by tomorrow and I am not sure....is it frivolous?
God, talk about thread hijacking!0
