how often do you check your receipts?

just done a shop at lets say, "less reasons" to go there now,
i've got other major ones close by, but usually go there.
i bought something that was marked down and when i got home thought i'd just check and it was fine,
i looked at the rest of the bill out of curiosity and noticed there should have been a offer on another item, hence why i bought it, i was charged full for both!
only £2 i know, but how many folk have been screwed out of these £2's?
and how often do folk take these offers without knowing its been full price?

I check every receipt before I leave the shop: whether I spent £2 or £20.
Tesco's reduced items always go through no problem.
Asda on the other hand... Well, I was able to start a collection with the £2 'goodwill gesture' gift cards :rotfl:Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
I mentally add up what I'm spending as I go around the supermarket so I tend to notice if the total at the till is out by more than 50p. I also scan through my receipts on the way out to check that offers have come off and particularly that reduced items have scanned correctly...I pick up mistakes fairly regularly and just go straight to customer services to get a refund.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0

I've started checking my Asda receipts before leaving the car park. Over the past year or so I've had about three £2 gift cards from them. Always worth checking.0

It used to be easy to check the price as the item went through the scanner but now it goes through at full price and make a reduction at the end. I am sure this is done on purpose to complicate things for the poor consumer and now less people check.0

I always check receipts as I have found so many mistakes. I think 3 for 2s and BOGOFs not coming off are the most common problem. I have also had a lot of reduced items coming up full price. I once bought a £1.40 magazine that scanned as £14! The shop assistant said the mag had been on the shelf for a couple of days so other people must have bought it and not noticed!0

I always check my receipts before I leave the store and am always finding mistakes. I didn't know Asda gave giftcards. Is that in addition to refunding the money?0

I usually check and there's no problem.
The one time I didn't check recently, there was. However, this was due to a signage error, that mislead me into thinking that there was an offer on a product. This has been dealt with amicably, efficiently and satisfactorily.
I also get any refunds put onto a cash card. I then redeem these at Christmas. It turns something bad into something nice.If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

I also always check my receipts before I leave the store - you'd have to be a special kind of stupid not to!
It only takes a couple of minutes and has saved me pounds. One year I also managed to amass £36 in A$da gift cards due to their mistakes :money:."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

I was annoyed the other week at Tesco, I bought the last bunch of reduced bananas and a full price pack and as I was packing, and not paying attention, the cashier put the full price pack through and just multiplied it by two. I ended up paying full price for both.
Didn't notice until I got home.i before e, except when you run a feisty heist on a weird beige foreign neighbour0 -

i never check when buying loads of stuff, though think i'll keep a check on the multi-buy offers from now on, would consider taking them back but already used 1 + is it worth it for £2?
could be an honest glitch, known it work in the customers favour at times,
but the point i'm making is how much money have they ripped people off by?0
