MC198 Seven Days INI Selling Restriction

It can sometimes be connected with postage restrictions/ perceived safety issues: I once had a listing for an old mercury thermometer pulled, and I was told I could relist it as collection only but I couldn't offer postage (I ended up selling it at a car boot sale).Just to be clear, eBay and Royal Mail are not connected.
eBay do not pull items just because Royal Mail won't carry them , that is between the seller and buyer. eBay pull things either due to a worry over fakes, or because VERO got involved.
Some tradmark owners do abuse VERO to prevent ordinary people from selling unwanted gifts etc. on eBay. In the OP's situation I would avoid selling any big brand names for a few months, just in case.0 -
Thank you to all for their responses. I found them all very useful. I have now done all the research on the VERO and understand it much better.
Apologies to anyone if if I went "off on one" to their responses that I did not agree with. I get the impression some sellers will have an agreement and are allowed to sell branded products and that is fine. I think once my listings end, I am going to give eBay the heave ho for a while.0
