MC198 Seven Days INI Selling Restriction

Dear xxxxxxxxx,

Your account has been restricted from listing new items for approximately seven days because of recent breaches of eBay policy. While your account is restricted you still have full access to other account functions such as sending emails, obtaining addresses and leaving feedback. To avoid account suspension, i.e. no access to your account, please comply with eBay policy at all times.

This restriction will be lifted after seven days. While the restriction is active you may not register any new accounts.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Why have they blocked me? I was selling 2 bottles of after shave a while back which they cancelled the listings and gave me a moaning at for. I noticed that there were shed loads of other sellers who had the same item without a box but their listings were not cancelled?

I have not done anything wrong at all recently so no idea why they have blocked me? Is it cos I is black?

No, it was Diesel after shave being sold as Diesel after shave.

Oh no pet. I have sold other items, but those are the 2 I got an email off eBay for and they took the listing off. I did not nothing from where I am sat so why they picked me is beyond me.

Also, I have not had any negative feedback so it can't be because I am a bad seller. Confused dot com.

Check your expanded dashboard, see exactly how many polcy breaches, or other strikes you have on it.

Also, don't forget you can't actually post a lot of perfumes and after shaves any more- so it is going to be difficult to sell them anywhere where you were relying on RM to allow them in the post.

Oh I see. Well the one breach I had was where they said the item is not genuine even though it had Diesel written on the bottle like 5 times. However, this was like about 8 months ago.

I totally get the "not allowed to post fragrance" anymore, but it should be a blanket rule for everyone and not just the one person getting cornered here and there. There are loads of others who are selling fragrance and are shipping via Royal Mail!

As Soolin suggests, best check your seller dashboard....as you may have been severely marked down in Stars for some reason.

Having Diesel on the bottle doesn't actually make it genuine.

Stars are fine. Just says POLICY COMPLIANCE - VERY LOW. Not sure what that is all about. I have not had any complaints off anyone or eBay for that matter.

Oh well. It's all good. Will just have to stop putting my junk on there.

Totally understandable, but why did the other 30+ sellers who did not have boxes not have their listings pulled?

Sorry, not having a go at you, but it is just annoying when rules are not the same for everyone.
