Is Diesel on Ebay's VERO list maybe?0

Ebay normally give you a clue why its been pulled.
Maybe you have been pulled too many times? Trick is to leave items 3 months before trying again - or relist on another account.0 -

Hi TS. I only tried the Diesel once and they pulled it so I gave it to my brother to use. A few months later, I tried selling a Clarins Massage Oil thing (which loads of others were selling so I thought might as well try my luck), but that got pulled too. Perhaps it's because it's liquid and could be classed as flammable. It's fine if they wanted to pull those 2 things, but the block was messaged to me today and it's given me the willies. As far as I am aware, I have not done anything wrong.
I will have to contact them and see what they say, but I thought I would ask on here first in case someone knew what it meant. We all know how helpful eBay customer support are: "let me transfer you to the correct department" who then say "let me transfer you to the correct department" and so on and so forth until you give up hope and put the phone down! Hahaha.
Thanks to everyone for the responses. Cheers muchly.0 -
Just to be clear, eBay and Royal Mail are not connected.
eBay do not pull items just because Royal Mail won't carry them , that is between the seller and buyer. eBay pull things either due to a worry over fakes, or because VERO got involved.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sounds like you listed the second item before your strike on the first had expired. As you violated the policy a second time before the first had been removed from your account, it looks like ebay has restricted your accoutn as a final warning.
If you go to your dashboard, you can check on your policy compliance, which will tell you when the strike expires.0 -
Agree with campdave. The 2nd item - although not the same - was still a similar violation. Ebay count a similar violation within 3 months as meaning you have learned nothing from the first one.
Dont know why they have taken so long to act - but 2 violations so quick normally results in suspension or selling limits.
Thats why more than one account is a must - to allow violations to drop off and not take the risk with similar items.
I had a warning 6 years ago - and put the rest of the items in my loft. Ive just listed them without problem and got £500 for them. But i listed one at a time to see if ebay pounced. I'm still shocked it went so easy. Its luck fo the draw sometimes.0 -
As 16 and 17.
And to add, the likliehood is that you have made someone cross and they are going out of their way to report you.
Although Ebay has bots to deal with sweeping listings for policy breaches, it remains very much on the community reporting listings.0 -
You really don't know anything about the other sellers, they may be approved sellers. Ebay have also been known to let other listings stay up as a seller is under investigation by Trading Standards or Police.Totally understandable, but why did the other 30+ sellers who did not have boxes not have their listings pulled?
Sorry, not having a go at you, but it is just annoying when rules are not the same for everyone.
That said, the only person you should be interested in is yourself. If they say you shouldn't list an item there isn't a way round it, no matter how many others are selling it. It's their site and their rules, whether fair or not..0 -

Sweetie thank you so much for taking time out to post on this thread. I really do appreciate it. But please do read what I have written. I was told not to sell DIESEL aftershave so I did NOT put it back on, I gave it to my brother. The second time they moaned at me for a CLARINS oil item which I have not re-listed. DIESEL aftershave and CLARINS oil are 2 totally different items.
Thanks again all for your input. THEONLYWAYISUP, I think you may be right re: someone having it in for me.
Anyway, my bad, I must go and read all the VERO literature etc.0 -
It doesn't matter what the items were, the policy (guessing trademark) was violated twice and that's what ebay have placed the restricton for.0
