What's stopping those who want to downgrade now from simply closing or abandoning their accounts then rejoining possibly under a different email address?
That's what I'd do
I got the same email so I must have joined Quidco ages ago and forgot all about it as I ended up with Topcashback instead
Topcashback seem to have all the same retailers offering the same percentages so I can't see any good reason to switch
Unless of course someone can point out any advantages that I've missed
If someone would like to enlighten me
ThanksIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -

it's probably because nectar no longer offer points on amazon purchases..:j:j:j0 -

I think people earning cashback technically will have already paid their fee for the year, so not worth the hassle until the downgrade date:j:j:j0 -
Quidco gives cashback for Amazon purchases, Topcashback doesn't.
Quidco pays £2.50 for referring a friend
Topcashback pays £10
I'm now a member of both
Just converted £28 TCB money to £30 Tesco clubcard points so I now have up to £120 Tesco spending money depending on how I use the vouchers.:j Can't be badIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
Much as I love(d) Quidco, I was happy with it the way it was, but was being swayed towards TCB as they don't charge the £5 annual fee (even if it is taken out of your cashback "winnings")
I don't like that I'm forced to be Premium, I'm not that bothered about the Premium features unless they somehow guarantee the cashback. Tracking of which has become a lot more risky / flakey recently as companies do all they can to wriggle out of paying.
Unless Quidco reverse this stupid policy of forcing all active users onto Premium I'll start using TCB instead.
I do understand that it's hard to refund or pro rata the £5 users have already "paid" and Quidco have to cover their costs - but the two tier system seems to heavily favour new users rather than established "loyal" (albeit self-interested) users.
It's worth noting that the main new feature people like about Quidco is the Amazon cashback, please be aware that it's not available for all Amazon purchases. They currently offer a helathy 5% cashback on Baby / Grocery / Pet supplies / Car & Motorbike / DIY & Tools and Garden & Outdoors sections. Apparently the offers will change regularly.0 -
Hi,
I thought that I would write this post to clear up any confusion in regards to the new Quidco Premium feature. As all existing member know, we have always retained £5 per year from the cashback you earn (ClickSnap and mobile check ins being the exception). The new premium account will still retain £5 per year but provide you with features like access to 1000 faster paying retailers and payment on date. These tools will ensure that you receive cashback quicker. The cost of having an account has not changed.
From looking at previous feedback from forums and blogs it has became apparent that our members have found it difficult to get in touch with us. The premium feature offers live chat and call back request, therefore resolving any issues quicker.
If you would like to discuss downgrading please get in touch with us via our website. You can either raise a ticket, talk to us on live chat or request a call. We are more than happy to discuss this with you.
It is an exciting time to be a Quidco member and we hope that you take advantage of the new premium features. Feel free to post any further questions.

Quidcare
I know for sure that the £5 retention was not popular with customers so instead of dumping it altogether you create a 2 tier system meaning that users have to pay to get better treatment.
Why not have a system where everyone gets treated the same?
Please stop all this poosyfooting around and try listening to your customers for once.
I have a quidco account and a TCB account and so far the only thing that has something of an attraction for me with quidco is Amazon cashback but even that is not straight forward since most of what I buy on Amazon isn't included.
I'll sit it out to see what happens but feel its going to be a long wait
:rotfl:I have to laugh at MSE's censorship. Note how I had to say poosy to avoid a row of exclaimation marksIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0
