Do you know - I never thought of that. Good point though. Is it now £15 per year?0 -
I've tried to sign -on but only have a notice saying the terms and conditions have been updated. And i can't get any further until i tick to say i've read and agree with them .......... there's pages and pages, but what does it say.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I now can't access my account unless I accept the new terms and conditions - there is no option to not accept the new terms and conditions which is surely illegal?
And they can't bar me from my account for not accepting the new T&Cs?--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
By registering, you accept that you are entering into a contract with us on the terms of this Agreement. You should be aware that this Agreement may change from time to time in accordance with Clause 16 below
So it's irrelevant what the terms and conditions are, as they can change them at any time...
We reserve the right to change this Agreement from time to time...When we do so...the new version of these terms and conditions will take effect...:
b. immediately upon the date of posting...
And any changes take effect immediately, regardless of whether you accept them or not (and you can't not accept) - hence they are irrelevant.
With 3 Million members and a retention of £5 per member, there is £15 Million going spare to employ a coherent solicitor?!?--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
Premium Features Retention Fee
If you opt for Quidco’s Premium Features, we will only pass back to the Account Holder the Cashback that has been generated once we have first retained an amount of the Cashback earned in any Year (our “Premium Features Retention Fee”); a "Year" is a twelve-month period commencing with the date you opt for Quidco’s Premium Features, and each anniversary of that date.
This is the main change - by the wording, you'll start a new year the moment you click accept on the new terms and conditions.
So if you've paid the retention fee in March, you potentially pay it again in April, but then wouldn't pay it again until April next year.--- Warning: Grumpy Old Man in Training ---0 -
Now my email has arrived telling me the good news that it's free. When you get your email click ...... find out more .
That's taking you to a forum type thing where questions are being asked and answered.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I have used them in the past year so automatically upgraded, did not get a choice. My "year" is October as before so I assume the year only resets if you have not used them in your current year. If they had simply dropped the fee and given a choice I may have thought about using Q again but this underhand tactic has just reinforced my reasons to not to use them.0

I don't think we will pay £5 again now. At the next anniversary date (March 2014 for example) you will have an option to downgrade or continue to be a premium member by paying the first £5. Just be aware that if you ever make any purchase after the next anniversary date, you're agreeing to be a premium member for another 12 months. So if you want to downgrade you need to do that after the anniversary date but before making any purchase.0 -
 The irony of this is that they've done it to compete with TopCashBack. However, they've done it in such an underhand way that I will never, ever use them again.
The really funny thing is that I tried to speak to the 'live chat' they've opted me in for without asking me, and it didn't work. Goodbye Quidco.
I'm not allowed to downgrade until 4 November 2013. As in, they won't actually let me click the button until then! Absolute jokers.0 -
I was always put off by the £5 charge, but now that it's gone, and they're offering cashback for certain Amazon purchases, I've logged into my account for the first time in years.0
