DH was going to buy a cd off them but he says the sites not secure IHHO he says theres something on there called paynova that wasnt there when i was on there last........and no padlock or https in the address bar

I had a 7.99 voucher for CD WOW and was using it towards a game for my son, when I got to the payment section I entered my voucher code and it showed the balance I had to pay. The site was not secure and I have never heard of Paynova so I decided to change the game for a CD so that I did not have to pay anymore money. When I pressed the back button my basket was emptied and now it shows that I have used the voucher which I have not. I emailed them 24 hours ago and they still have not got back to me. I was new to CD WOW and therefore was not logged in so will have to wait to see what happens to my voucher!

On the Pigsback side of things, I have decided to give up on Pigsback for a while. They seem to have lost the plot. The new website should not have been launched until it was ready. Thankyou all for this brill forum I have enjoyed being part of it.:A :A :A

The voucher will be reactivated in a couple of hours.

Re CD-wow security thing. Doesn't appear to be secure at all. Have to admit that I'd be reluctant to enter my details on there at the moment.

The £7.99 CDWOW vouchers - they say they are to be used to buy a Top 75 CD.. Can you use them to buy CDs not in the top 75? Or other things from the site? (DVDs, Games, etc).

I just googled Paynova, they are a Swedish company, listed on the stock exchange etc. As well as doing credit/debit card transactions they operate an electronic "wallet" system. It just seems that CD-Wow are using them instead of Worldpay or whoever it was before.

But there should still be at least a https or a padlock to indicate security.
