Okay let me get this right, you are not at present claiming JSA?
What if you went off with work related stress what happens then, as boy Ox you are very stressed? what if the company then got rid of you?
Okay next part. Ox if you had NO debts, all wiped clean are you telling me you could not live on £2000 a month? I am trying to think could I live on £2000 a month. Is this money paid to you, or is the rent if you have a rented place taken out of it, and CT taken out of it, sorry I am not up with this I live in a council house and pay my rent and CT so have not a clue on this stuff.

I think it would be a good idea for both of you to have a good old mooch around the turn2us site.
Ox, might also be worth posting on the benefits board on here, though you may need a thick skin.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

I have been over there, but sadly as I do not know Ox's wages or personal details I even had to invent his babies birthday and then could not go any further as it asked questions I had was not able to answer.
So Ox please go over there and stick all your details in and see what it comes up with. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -

We certainly lived on £2000 a month as family of five in rental with no benefits to speak of, except child benefit.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Same as you I think no issue with that but houses are infrequent around here for the size i would need. Thats why staying with my folks is an option but however the boys school is not near them they live 11 miles away from us0

Why ????????
WHY what, if you mean go to that site, cos you can put in your details and see what you would be entitled to if you were out of work. I have no idea what you would get, or if the £500 per week has to pay rent, CT before food and bills? If it does could you cope on £500 per week, I know I could.
I pay full rent and full CT, there are three adults here as Ry is 18, I am not sure what your council houses cost but ours are not cheap I live in Cambridge, or a village just on the outskirts to be exact but we pay city rent prices. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -
Why ????????
Because you can put what if? Scenarios in the benefit calculator and get some idea at what could be available to you if you rent, have mortgage etc.
Rylynn might help you understand what is available to you as well.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
