I dont think the wife is against BR she thinks we could rise again but the issue is that she thinks its the only option versus BR and to try one last time to protect house

All cards were cut up ages ago and no more catalogues

I would not be entitled as previous years salary would be too high
I agree with CTC it would get to almost 1400 a month thats without council tax and housing benefit. Cap is now 500 a week per couple.

If your income has dropped significantly the. You can ring them and ask to be assessed on the current years income.

The other thing is that I cannot just quit this role as then I would not get JSA so am stuck and would have to try DMP to keep going i think

The cap is £500 per week per couple for housing benefit surely not CTC as well? As tiger says you could get reassessed.

If you deliberately quit a role for any reason then you cannot get JSA i think

Sorry Tigerfeet, because I do not claim anything other than working tax and child tax credits I am a bit out of the loop. In fact I have to phone them up to tell them I am now redundant or they will throw me in clink!

So are you telling me that a family of 5 can only get £500 per month and this has to pay for rent and includes Child Tax Credits, hell that is insane!

ox means if he was to quit his job he would be sanctioned by the dwp and there would be a delay in recieving jsa. im not sure how dwp would see it if a person lost a job because of bankruptcy though.
