There are at least three things going on here.
1) your health - that's between you and your GP to sort out
2) your work - if they haven't grasped 1), then maybe the union needs to get involved. If you're not in the union, then you can get a lot of excellent advice on the Employment board here on MSE.
3) your bankruptcy and your IPA. If you're not earning enough, you can't pay an IPA. Speak to your trustee, let them know that your income has dropped, and that you can't pay your IPA.
Your sequestration will not 'fail'. It can't. There's no such thing as a 'failed sequestration'.

i have nothing intelligent to add but just wanted to offer my support/sympathy/empathy. I have had depression/bipolar most of my life and although quite stable now have developed a host of physical health problems making work difficult. off sick at the moment, have meeting next week with ward manager and HR re my future and seriously not looking forward to going back. need to drop my hours but cant afford the drop in money (dh back at uni after being made redundant 2 years ago). tough times. lots of anxiety. i feel for you. xxxxx0

What makes me irate/sad is that my work are 'investors in people'it doesn't feel like they've been investing much in people recently. The fact that the hr manager doesn't like me texting my colleagues and trying to tell them what's going on and making me feel guilty for it just made me really really upset ( and it as my colleague that texted me asking if I was ok in the first place). If I had a physical chronic illness would this still be handled in the same way? I'm pretty sure I would be told to relax and don't worry and get better. The stigma of mental health continues...

Yes Loupy the stigma of mental health does continue and it is about time it stopped, it is disgusting the way people are treated. My employer was also "investors in people" shame they did not think like that when I was being bullied by a line manager.
I have ME, and just because someone cannot see your illness does not mean you do not have one, either physical or mental.

I emailed them as I'm still trying to sort out what company sick pay I get. They are usually rubbish at getting back to me! They either get my emails or they don't. I may have to call them.
The more I think about the way I was spoken to from my work the angrier and more panicked I get. Surely this could have been avoided and I would even have felt happy returning?0 -

Fellow BPD'er here.
I can only echo that you should speak with the receiver to get your payments in line with your current situation.
Please don't give up with work - once you're out of it, its like climbing everest to go back in. And the anxiety and paranoia stages will fade over time.
Your employer has to make reasonable adjustments, including reducing hours or changing start/finish times if this is beneficial for your health. They can also provide a workplace mentor (and no, they don't have to be a HR person - they're bloody insensitive).
Intensive therapy can be very invasive and make some worse in both the short and long terms, so don't think badly of it - not everything works!

I honestly can't see me returning to that work. I quit that line of work about 6 years ago to escape it and did something else (my business which failed). I don't actually enjoy it, I think it triggers my illness sometimes. I am absolutely terrified of going back there. I am signed off till next Thursday and I just don't know what to do. I'm having panic attacks just thinking about it. I understand that I need to get up, out and about but I've been getting more and more miserable about my job by the day. I feel utterly trapped. It's good to know there is a fellow bpd'er out there as you will know its utterly complicated and not easy to understand from a non-bpd.
Will defiantly call the receiver once I calm down. I even get anxiety over having to call them. It's a total nightmare

It's difficult. On the one hand I can understand you wanting to talk to your colleagues and let them know how you are. ON the other hand, perhaps work are aware you would face prejudice and also if you told one person then perhaps word would get around and this could do you more harm than good?
If people geuinely are your friends then I can't think work can stop you talking to them but perhaps just be a little circumspect?
If work is making you ill then that's really not good. Do you think all jobs would be making you anxious or is it this job/workplace? You might consider posting on the employment board on here and see what they suggest. I guess it is better for you to claim ssp and wait and see whether work lets you go on ill health grounds rather than for you to resign but the experts on that board will know more. The bankruptcy/sequestration thing can be sorted.

Just plucked up the courage to call the people that deal with my sequestration and they said they could 'suspend' it till I'm able to work again. Does this mean that it's delayed and my 3 year payments will take longer to pay back?0
